Pick one team each week. You cannot pick the same team twice in a season.

If your chosen team loses, you get a strike. Two strikes and you are out.

Strats for new players from last year's winner:

Find those two or three easy beat teams and tip against them each week.

If you have multiple options, pick the weakest team against an easy beat and keep the stronger teams up your sleeve for difficult weeks later in the season. The bye rounds can be a squeeze so be careful. Planning ahead a few weeks is not too difficult.

Given there are 24 rounds and only 18 teams, can we assume rule is you cannot pick same team twice in succession?

It's annoying if we have to give up a chance due to umpire's mistake. Which it was v Adelaide. 😃

I was thinking about this comp earlier, what happens if it's a draw? Does that count as a strike or a win?

Very good question and need clarification.
However, the rule says that "If your chosen team loses, you get a strike..."
That is to say: if your chosen team wins or draws (negation of loses), you don't get a strike." . (But I am not the administrator!)

Then you have to change the wording of the rule.

"Pick one team each week. You cannot pick the same team twice in a season.

to:

"Pick one team each week. You cannot pick the same team twice in a season.

If your chosen team loses (or draws), you get a strike. Two strikes and you are out.
