  • Happy New Year mate. Funny but I am leaving China on Monday! I have had enough... and I start a new job in Canberra (shudders) in February. I have also gone through the process of applying for visas for my girlfriend of 2.5 years who is Chinese (yes I love the women here too!), I've sponsored her to be my spouse so she can live with me in Australia. I hope it works out as cultural differences can be difficult to overcome. You will need to contact the Consulate in Shanghai for a visa for your girl - www.shanghai.china.embassy.gov.au

    Good Luck and Go Port!
I work in the Australian Consulte in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province. Have been here almost 3 years. You will develop a love-hate relationship with China, some things are fascinating, other things drive you crazy. You will be very busy in China in the construction/engineering industry!
Hey, seeing as the thread was locked, just further to your post - http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showpost.php?p=13192726&postcount=150.
