Gday Gary, how's things up on the sunny gold coast?

I'm finally back on bigfooty and I think there is plenty the Hawks need to do to become a contender again including some, if not all of the following:

* Get Tarrant or bite the bullet and play Shoenmakers in all 22 games next season.

* Trade/delist Ladson, Murphy, Dowler, Morton, Tuck (disappointing), Moss, Suckling and Peterson

* The only 4 possible trade targets I have come up with are Chris Tarrant, Justin Sherman, Josh Hill and the one I really want to happen in Andrejs Everitt (this is my smokey for the year and has me really excited at the prospect of him playing for the Hawks as a running defender/wingman allowing Grant Birchall to move into the midfield/wing rotation).

* We need a David Wodjinski type of back pocket but I don't know who or where they are going to come from.

Hey Gary, how you doin, carn the Hawks!! Im just hoping you can help me out a little ive been reading the hawks bf board for a long time and was just trying to post a topic but it seems im not privileged enough. In anticipation of tomorrows game i wanted to post in regards to the new HUN full strength indicator stating both teams are at 93%. With both teams being named (kt, mossy and sucko out for the 3 prem players) and the pies getting over the line by a tear today that Mondays game is as close of a show that we as supporters will get to compare the current squad against our beloved team of 2008.

Gary, can you please confirm Clinton Young's status on the thread started by one of the posters on the board? It would be a big help to end all talk that "Clinton Young may not be playing ever again". It would seem you would know more about the bloke than most of us, so you would be seen as a credible source. Thankyou

Yes a great idea asking support from other forum members. Would have gone for it earlier but I feel it is too late now as media peoples have done to death the tribunal decision.

But I will put it to the other mods if we issue an additional media release pending on just how the AFL handles the appeal.

As journos are constantly visiting the Hawthorn forum for material (and enlightenment ), if need be media releases will be issued when matters of high interest come to fore in future.

I'm writing to you about your media release thread denouncing the Franklin suspension.

First of all, I think it's a great idea and something that needs to be done.

I wanted to suggest that perhaps you could invite members from other teams boards to support the issue. After all, if this suspension is upheld and a precedence like this is set, it will only be a matter of time before their big name stars are being sidelined for incidents that are well and truly within the tradition of our great game. There are a lot of intelligent supporters out there who will see this.

Obviously, you'd need to put a troll warning out with any sort of invite to the cause but every endorsement from a non Hawthorn supporter would undoubtedly be worth ten in the eyes of any media outlet willing to pick this story up and would inevitably add some weight to the petition as a whole.

As I said, this is just a suggestion but I can't see how it could possibly hurt the cause.

Can you please do something about Mcchawk and Haddo? All they are doing is sinking the boots in and being rude.
