Hey mate, sorry I was a bit ferocious in my initial response to you on that thread before. You're alright - I remember our chat a while back about that day when the Roys played Freo at the end of the '96 season too
Hope you see my reply to that last post of yours there...
Yeah i like Ryan - hes a pretty decent bloke IMO, i've always got along with him pretty well. I've done a bit of work for sprintcarworld.com.au so have had the chance to spend a fair bit of time with a lot of the guys.
He knows how to party i can tell you that - and by the looks of his eyes and how he disappears for a while probably shows he likes more then just a beer.
He was becoming more and more liked among the whole speedway frat until Sunday night, fair to say he is enemy number 1 at the moment. Big show and he lost his composure i guess.
She was on like donkey kong up there mate.
I normally having a couple beers with Ryan at the track but he was well and truly gone by the time i got to the pits afterwards. Didn't see the scrap in the pits but Greeny reckons they were getting stuck into it.
Looking forward to getting down to Warrnambool this year - classic and titles back to back will be nuts.
I'll probably borrow a mate's 4WD to head on over your way. Much better travelling in freedom like that than being at the mercy of a bus route or something.
Can't be arsed reading all that. What is it? Some kind of bloody seminar or training camp or something? Doesn't really sound like my usual idea of fun. *shrugs*
But yeah, whatever's going - I just want to get the chance to explore a bit of the country out there at some stage.
You're talking to a guy who's driven between Perth and the Kimberley so many times I've lost count. Nothing's a real trek to me.
If you're up for another trek some time I can drive up to Darwin and then head off to Alice and back - otherwise when I head up to Darwin to catch up with you I'll just go via Alice first.
As for me, I graduated at the end of last year and now I am doing Masters by coursework. I have gotten a job through one of the lecturers at one of the Uni's 'partners', so all good there. If all goes well, a level 2/3 job at Rio Tinto might be available next January.
