The UN cant sanction Australia. We don't trade with the UN. We give the UN money, not the other way around.
What possible sanctions could the UN give us? If we were reliant on UN aid then they could possibly pull that, but we give the UN 61 million a year.
The UN could pass a resolution, requiring other member countries (who we do trade with) to sanction Australia, but you would require 75 percent of States to agree (which they won't), and our permanent member allies the USA (or the UK) not to veto it (which they would).
Again, what possible sanctions could the UN impose on us? Name one. And explain how it gets past a US or UK veto?

He's a very interesting character and that's a good contribution to WEF discussion. What transpires in Argentina over the next year or two will be a fascinating watch.
But does anyone think that the WEF will force the rest of the world to follow Milei if he's successful? Or is the better view that it's simply part of a discussion about where the world is headed?
If Milei is successful, other countries may well choose to follow the Argentina model. But if that happens, it will have f*** all to do with WEF imposing its will on countries.

It's very bad.
Leaving aside the existential threat from AI via the singularity, if AI can replace information jobs, it'll be replacing Lawyers, Doctors, Accountants, Engineers, Authors, Journos, Programmers, CEO's etc.
Everything will be run by AI.
Imagine being the people creating and pushing this and ruining millions of jobs around the world

Thats the job for the State to regulate, but the difficulty is, the tech companies then just offshore where it is legal.
People say one world government is a bad thing. I wholeheartedly disagree. It puts an end to this short of s**t (and tax havens, and also wars) for starters.
AI is going to go well with the military.
Not sure it will provide peaceful solutions.

I can just imagine AI lawyers arguing against each other. Human lawyers generally lose interest when their clients can't afford them, AI justice system would likely consume the entirety of the computing power in the world arguing semantics and loopholes and contradictory laws.
But the upside is we get rid of human lawyers.
