Slippery Pete

Mate my Wife wears a mask when out in Public, And if I heard you say that to or about her, you would be apologising quickly.

There are lots of reasons people wear masks, From what I have seen personally it actually more prevalent overseas than in Australia, But for people who live in a privileged and Lucky country to criticise people who wear a mask, is an absolute Joke and only highlights their limited knowledge outside of social media, I don't care about all the data you can show me from Twitter and the like, because when a trusted Doctor/Specialist recommend the use and still does, I would trust them first.
Why I don't travel as much as I used to I have visited several countries in the last couple of years and planning more before football starts.
And I can tell you Covid did not hit Australia as hard as other countries, I am yet to see or hear first-hand in Australia families decimated and generations lost. Children who are left with no Parents.
I have read and listened to people living in Australia with absolutely no idea of what is going on around the world, Just about every article on Social media is Bais to whatever argument/side you are on. and the quicker we see that and move on the better we will be.

It is time some of you get off your high horse and understands Covid is Real and it is still killing people daily,

How often does your wife change her mask and what type of mask does she wear? Does she continue wearing it at home, given that you don't? And mate, don't be an idiot with SP, because if you heard that from me, not that I'd say it, you might think I'd apologise quickly, I won't and you'd end up in a fair bit of trouble if you tried to take me to task. So pull your head in with your faux macho bulldust.

This is a problem that society refuses to address. Most of the criminal damage caused to aboriginal people is at the hands of those that should be protecting them. This is what the leafy suburb, educated and affluent people that have never walked through a genuine community actively ignore. And all because they don't care about the victims, they only care about being seen as supporting all the aboriginal victims. Well, not those subject to abuse by their own people, all the others. But at least they wear the wrist bands and conduct 'welcome to country' in all their emails and work meetings.

but she's actually lived it, best to refer to Bearded Clam th did a unit at uni and kirky that copped 2 years in Darwin to escalate his banking career.View attachment 1597430

We are still going on about this - 2022 was not the same as 2021 which was not the same as 2020.

Thank god he is suspended, we might get some peace and quiet from all this.
I missed what Slippery got up to for his banning...

Hopefully he get some peace with a break.

Put them in a bus and move them next door to Lidia Thorpe’s mansion

Well well I'll be...

Australia adding green energy at less than half the required rate to keep grid stable: UNSW

Australia is adding renewable energy at less than half the pace required to replace retiring coal-fired generation and meet its own 2030 climate targets, one of the country's top energy experts says.
In a wake-up call for state and federal governments, the University of New South Wales said there was a "mismatch" between Australia's renewable energy ambitions and the reality on the ground.

The warning comes after a pivotal year in which closure dates for many of the country's biggest coal-fired power plants were fast-tracked – in some cases by decades.

UNSW senior research associate Dylan McConnell said the watershed nature of 2022 showed there was little contention among politicians and investors about the need to transition away from fossil fuels.

Dr McConnell said the critical issue now was the speed at which the shift took place. "On an energy basis, we have pretty much been adding the same gigawatt hours of energy for the last five years," Dr McConnell said.
It's been a fairly linear addition.

"That linear addition really needs to ramp up to hit those targets."

Research by Dr McConnell shows Australia's renewable energy output has been growing since 2018 at an average of 7.5 terawatt hours a year – equivalent to about four per cent of demand in the national electricity market servicing the eastern states.

Dr McConnell said the growth rate needed to more than double to 15.7 terawatt hours by the end of the decade under the Australian Energy Market Operator's central plan.

Despite this, he said activity was in some senses slowing, pointing to Clean Energy Council reporting that showed just one renewable energy project reached "financial close" in the September quarter last year.

He suggested there would need to be policy changes before the energy market operator's plans could be reconciled with reality.

If you bought into this for the last three years, then you should absolutely still be wearing one.

Most of you Branch Covidians are claiming you’ve “moved on” but the same ”experts” you listened to for three years are telling you categorically that you shouldn’t, that the risks are still there.

The only difference is that the politics of it has changed, it’s no longer being given special treatment by politicians and policy makers.

That is literally the only difference.

People like you who bought into this should absolutely be masking up and lining up for your fourth and fifth jab because anything else would be a fundamental departure from the logic you’ve used the last three years.

It’s quite a hole you’ve all dug for yourselves.

if the government stated masks aren't required at 10:59, the Fonzie lemming crew would agree. But if the government said the opposite at 10:59:01, Fonzie and his lemmings would agree. Apparently, it's the height of science and free thought to simpy agree with politicians and health bureaucrats. And presumably, that's because they're never, ever wrong or acting in their own self interest.

Mate Just to let you know I fully understand what your trying to do, As you becoming very predictable, I even had a reply ready just for your question,
I am Lucky that I have a bit of coin so I am able to get a large supply of K95 and KN95 masks, regularly replaced, and only wear a mask when we are out, as at Home I have a very good Air filtration system with HVAC filter when we are close up generally living with no close neighbours we leave the house open up.

As for apologising, I believe you would because I would ask nicely, and explain to you why I believe that comment is offensive, we would be in a face-to-face situation which makes it easier to talk to a person. Again another predictable question from you.

and this is what shits me with the clowns like South of the Yarra , they can see clear evidence of institutional child abuse of aboriginal kids at the hands of community men and still find a way to avoid solving that in favour of blaming white peoples. Their shit stain, never progress, attitudes won't ever change because all they ever want to do is blame white people and extract more money. He said he went to Mpartnwe recently, I bet he didn't pay to get there himself. And I bet he earned his full quid before leaving and then blaming everyone else for the reasons that kids have no hope in that region. He's probably being paid for writing a report right now. As soon as he used the Arrernte term for Alice ahead of the name that everyone else understands, you know your looking at a fraud more concerned about their gravy train than the plight of the at risk population.

He's the dictionary definition of why so much gets spent and yet the outcomes are so embarrisingky poor. Bit it's important to know that it's not caucasian Australian embarrassment, it's the aboriginal industry that substantively fails its community.

Save your breath...

What the republicans need to do is establish from the footage the breakdown of the Jan 6th narrative but hold it back until close to the 2024 election so releasing it will then have maximum effect of making the democrats look like absolute criminals over this.

Here is a report recently released that paints a very different picture of who was at fault for Jan 6th in terms of protecting the Capitol. It will foreshadow house investigations into Pelosi specifically.

They will struggle with that as the proud Boys are requesting the courts to bring in Trump as a witness on their behalf,
And whether you like him or not, if he refuses to help them he becomes the bad boy to them, if he helps them he is on a witness chair under oath. and we know what will happen then.

Any way that the least of Trump's problems, the additional person in the old Stormy Daniels case, expect an indictment within weeks,
Also, the Georgia case is not going to well another Indictment coming soon.

This from the Age. I think if you take a job as an MP's Chief of Staff surely you expect to be working very long hours?

Sally Rugg claims Monique Ryan sacked her for refusing to work ‘unreasonable hours’

By Angus Thompson

Updated January 31, 2023 — 10.54amfirst published at 10.45am

Activist Sally Rugg claims teal independent Dr Monique Ryan tried to sack her after just six months as her chief-of-staff because she refused to work “unreasonable” hours. Rugg, the former head of Change.org and an experienced campaigner on socially progressive issues, has launched Federal Court action against Ryan and the Commonwealth of Australia, and is trying to stop the latter from firing her following a dispute about working hours.

Politics is a tough game, it's not a modern workplace. Employers are on defined contracts. It's a bit like looking at the Code of Conduct on workplace break rooms and hearing complaints from military employees in a war one whilst on patrol. There are just some jobs where the normal sensitivities of the ordinary workplace just don't match up. Politics is one of those, if you don't like it, find a job more suitable.

I find it a little weird that the media is only now jumping on what is happening in remote Indigenous communities. What they are showing and talking about today has been no secret I just wonder why today?

i've lived it abd have kept connected via friends throughout the last 3 years, since being down in the glorious south east. It's been going on the last decade, but it accelerated to the point that we left and it continued to get worse. There's nothing weird, it's just lawlessness where a cohort with nothing to lose operates outside the law.

So you're wearing these masks as well and whilst at home? Or do you think your imagined air circulation system in your lounge room is somehow less risky than the Bunnings 30 foot ceilings?

Lol, no one is debating the issue has been around for ever.... but only a true idiot would deny it's only recently become a hot issue in the press... as opposed to always being a hot issue in the press

Again the lowest common denominator on this board wants to pick a fight with others because he is so unhappy in life...

oh gee, I guess my name isn't coming out of that freezer anytime soon. Imagine being such a coward/insane person that you can't reply direct to a post but you can post independently, and in direct response. Have you taken your iPad into your regular psychological sessions or do you just totally ignore self improvement Mr Micro.

Is that the best you have? Surely you can do better than that. Just another boring and predictable response from an imposter who doesn't have the balls to get out and do something himself.

What is it that you do, having been flown out there and paid handsomely to arrive at the amazeballs conclusion that the 'local businesses have been exploiting aboriginal people and are now getting their just desserts'. So you ignore the impact on local aboriginal people and businesses who just want to live and work in peace. Instead, you ignore the enormous damage that aboriginal people are perpetuating amongst themselves and indstead, flippantly blame anyone else.

What you will never realise is that you are the exact problem. You give nothing, you only care becsuse you can invoice. I know you, you're everywhere and yet despite your regular progression through the misery industry, nothing changes. We can only hope that someday this incredibly powerful, but largely ineffectual industry, will wake up to itself and realise that the so,ution isn't changing or blaming demon white people, it's about making meaningful difference to aboriginal people on the ground. At least the emerging generations.

Is that the best you have? Surely you can do better than that. Just another boring and predictable response from an imposter who doesn't have the balls to get out and do something himself.

And worth noting, I'm no imposter, I'm an open book here. You consider me an imposter because my great grandmother was stolen and I don't have the same view as you. I have a different view because despite my heritage and that tree of my family growing up being called the obligatory slurs, I sit here as a product of that with my own views. Just because I believe that problems are solved at the source, doesn't make me any more an imposter than you. The primary difference between you and I is that none of my income is encumbent on prosecuting a defined view provided the misery industry. But I can guarantee, that I care a lot more for resolving the misery than you, which is why I'm prepared to call out the cause. You won't, it's that simple. If it's not, identify a pn on the ground problem. Or don't, I don't care, I know you a lot better than you know me.

You like to know what I do. I am retired, I fly to Aboriginal communities on my own accord and at my own expense. Quiet often the wife and I drive. We take the kids / foster kids / home schooled kids with us at different times to help connect to country. I have never made one cent, written one invoice or even contemplated writing a report. We work with elders to try and set up sporting teams to give these youth who have been beaten and battered, yes mostly by their own people something that may make their lives better. I work with my great friend Miriam Rose Ungunnmerr Baumann in trying to set support and resources for educational settings for these kids. i work with trying to empower Aboriginal teachers, children and mothers and we have helped her fund, equip and maintain the running of the Daly River Buffaloes to bring some focus for these kids. We provide balls, drink bottles and medical supplies. We are now expanding to Junior teams. We have provided 4 wheel drives for the community so medical and local experts can access these victims of domestic violence who live in remote and hard to get areasand have helped set up domestic violence centres and support for Aboriginal children and mothers. I also have Miriam's Grandchildren live with us in Melbourne so they can go to schools in Victoria and learn to walk as Miriam puts it 'in both worlds.' Three of those kids have now returned home to Daly and sit on the Board of Governance of the Miriam Rose Foundation. I work with local teenagers on Governance matters to try and empower them to be responsible for their own decisions and communities. The Naiuyu are functioning well in this regard. Apart from my own 4 Aboriginal boys we also foster Aboriginal children and have a young girl who lives with us since she was born (yes removed from her abusive Aboriginal family) and now her younger brother has joined us in recent days. Her sister will join us shortly. That is a small snapshot of what I do. Happy to share a far more extensive breakdown of the money and goods I have provided as well. I leave many communities including my own broken at what my people are doing to each other. If that is not trying to get to the source, then I don't know what is. I give up because I can't do any more. You know nothing about me.
1970Crow… you asked.. you received..

now the best course of action would be to return the favour would it not..

what is it you do for our First Nations brothers and sisters?

please don’t tell us your just another Mutineer.. who only really gives a fxxk about the plight of our First Nations brothers and sisters at the moment because he sees it as an opportunity to bash the PM over.. a labor government PM that he’s going to bash at every opportunity because everything is about political wins against labor for him and at the moment he finds himself in the depths of despair over the current position the liberal National party finds itself in.. which is.. unelectable at nearly all levels!

so.. gone on.. give SOTY some details of your actions..

If i had a dime for every time someone has said...we have trump now, i'd be rich.

The FBI are balls deep in this..looking more and more like a false flag event..and what about the latest footage of one Ray Epps
