Not much room for a hills hoist, when you live 6 floors up in an apartment building.
Then you best trot along to all the new housing estates in Ballarat, Geelong and Bendigo...they ain't apartments they're mostly 4 and 5 bedroom family homes akin to rabbit warrens. Even head down the road to Bacchus Marsh, Darley and Melton for more of the same.

The Europeans have their own Hills Hoists.

But did they get the jab for that reason?..

Maybe you can answer this?… as I just asked Pete to give me the percentage of people that supposedly didnt freely get vaxed and he couldnt..

How the fxxk can anyone in here know the reason(s) why the 95% of people that got the vaccine did so.

It all just more assumptions and at the end of the day who cares!.. 95% of Aussie adults got the first two jabs.

I got it for several reasons.. most people I know that got it also had several reasons for getting it.. id say nearly everyone that got it did so not just for one reason but for the benefit of the many reasons to get it.

To claim people didnt freely get it, as Pete claimed in the very first comment that started this current conversation, needs to be backed with solid evidence or, once again, the most sensible response is to call it “pete making s**t up based on his on biased vibes, thoughts and feelings again”.

Its simple. Provide the evidence or continue to post unsupported bullshit and look like a fool.
You got it for several reasons you say?

My wife is from China and talks to her family on a daily basis, she comes from a country area of China, and it is going bunta
I tend to believe that. 1 billion people and nothing happening is hard to swallow.
Is your wife scared talking on the phone that her parents phone calls are monitored.

you have to admire the sheer dishonesty though. Totally separate to the statement about fitness and good health is a single line a few paragraphs later. When talking about someone's health, surely the myocarditis issue belongs in the same space. But they want the reader to fix their view at that point so when they disclose the actual truth, it's too late because the Fonzies, ADLs etc already have a formed belief. And his medical episode was caused by the myocarditis flaring up FFS. But the lemmings won't comment on the pure dishonesty and obvious false narrative of this article. At best they'll just ignore it.

Curious to see page after page of posts and so much concern from certain posters about adverse events like myocarditis linked to COVID vaccines, yet none whatsoever about adverse events like myocarditis linked to COVID infection.

Actually, maybe not curious at all now that I think about it. (if you want to talk "sheer dishonesty")

If you're interested in learning more, here is my response to this from the other day, plus links to recent, high quality studies and systematic reviews (as opposed to one off anecdotes, personal opinions or baseless conjecture).

Agreed. There are numerous published studies which have and continue to look into this.

These studies have consistently shown that while there are some rare adverse events caused by COVID vaccines (as is the case with almost all vaccines), the frequency and severity of these events is outweighed in every age group by adverse events associated with COVID infection among unvaccinated. Monitoring both of these cohorts in the long term will be important.

It's been suggested by some that we may see additional side effects from vaccination emerging down the track - as the vaccines themselves are processed and excreted by your body within days, this is not biologically plausible.

In short, there's currently no evidence that you are better off being unvaccinated than vaccinated, for any of the age groups these studies have assessed. Based on these studies, expert vaccine advisory groups around the world continue to recommend vaccination to all people over the age of 5 years, and for kids under the age of 5 who have certain medical conditions.

It's important that the evidence around the risks/benefits of vaccination is readily available to and understood by all people, and that this information comes from a reliable source. Some people may benefit from having an informed discussion with their doctor to interpret this evidence in the context of their unique circumstances, and figure out which of the vaccines on offer is going to be right for them.

There's definitely room for governments and expert health advisory groups to scale up their work in educating the public on this, as there's nothing to hide, and it's in the vacuum of information where conspiracies and misinformation are more likely to take hold.

"Data from 40 health care systems participating in a large network found that the risk for cardiac complications was significantly higher after SARS-CoV-2 infection than after mRNA COVID-19 vaccination for both males and females in all age groups."
"In this systematic review and meta-analysis, we found that the risk of myocarditis is more than seven fold higher in persons who were infected with the SARS-CoV-2 than in those who received the vaccine. These findings support the continued use of mRNA COVID-19 vaccines among all eligible persons per CDC and WHO recommendations."
"Associate Professor John Litt, a GP and member of the Immunisation Coalition Scientific Advisory Committee, said the chart is a clear illustration of the relative risks.
‘In all age categories, as you can see from the table, the rate of getting myocarditis post COVID is far higher,’ he told newsGP.
According to the chart, the highest rate of post-vaccination myocarditis occurs among male 12–17-year-olds following a second or third dose of Moderna, with 236 cases per million doses. That is less than a half of the 590 cases per million recorded post COVID-19 infection in the same age group.
Associate Professor Litt also points out that fatality rates are higher following myocarditis linked to COVID-19 infection.
‘The risk of dying from myocarditis post COVID is 10–100 times more than dying from myocarditis after a COVID vaccine,’ he said.
‘Almost all of the people who’ve had myocarditis post vaccine have recovered.’"

Tell me you don't have the faintest grasp of basic epidemiology without telling me you don't have the faintest grasp of basic epidemiology.

I suggest you do some reading on 'base rate fallacy', or an entry level course in statistics, and you might begin to understand how useless this overly simplified and misleading graph is.

What are the denominators for these categories? What is the baseline risk profile for these categories? How many more people have received 2+ doses of vaccine vs those who have received 1 or none? Are the more at risk groups likely to receive more doses of vaccine than the lower risk groups?

???… why wasnt it a choice?..

A few here need to look up the meaning of choice..

choice
/tʃɔɪs/
Learn to pronounce

noun
  1. an act of choosing between two or more possibilities.
So there was clearly a choice given to you and your fellow workmates..

1) Get the vax and keep your current employment

Or

2) not get the vax, because you’ve been gullible enough to listen to conspiracy theory nonsense, and find employment in a job that didnt require you to be vaxxed.

Two clear choices..

Why wasn't it a choice? Because a lot of the positions at my workplace are highly specialised to the point my workplace is the only place they can use these skills in the state. And it takes them years of study to get to that point, do you seriously expect them to leave that job to do what? Become a barista at a fraction of the pay?

You clearly work in an industry where it is easy to change jobs at the drop of a hat. That's simply not an option for many people in the working world.

The similarities hey.
The REAL cabal.
Bolsonaro ran to FLORIDA.
Same attempted COUP.
At least over there they are doing something about it unlike the slow turning wheels in US.
It’s global not just the GOP and their backers, but same agenda.
As for Bannon. He belongs in jail too. Oh and Stone.
How such a slob has so much power to agitate, divide, cause chaos is unbelievable. Backed again by Putin no doubt.
Putin cannot afford to lose Brazil due to BRIC.
Will McCarthy denounce it? He is in a difficult situation.

Here's a good explanation if you want to learn more about this.

This is classic Slippery. Take one solitary data point, and decide the absolute outcome without any context or additional information. There are so many possible explanations for this, and it looks at ONE month, almost 3 years after the pandemic started.

Simple information for simple minds. You eat it up.
