It's just a nickname for people named Dale, especially out in country/rural areas. It's a bit old fashioned though.

Wow i never knew that. My friends were starting to assume that he is gay because of his nickname.

There is a group of us the call him sparky, as in stuck his finger in poer socket or he sparks the team.
Dont worry i dont think Dale is gay (not that there is anything worng with homosexuals), also think he maybe single so i spsoe you could be in with a chance.

maybe his sister is keeping him in check, big sisters are annoying like that, on another matter his sister is meant to be of good sort.
But yes he should be called Tommo sparky just not daisy

Its stuck on me now, Daisy. I dont even think about it, when he gets it, to me, 'Daisy's got it!'
We all know why Rocca is called Pebbles, Im sure 99% of people dont think of the Flinstones when 'Pebbles gets the ball'
Daisy has stuck with me for Thomas, I wouldnt want it any other way.

Daisy is a nickname to him as it refers to him being young. Ever heard the term as fresh as a daisy? I dunno why I call him Daisy I guess it's a habit. I t has nothing to do with his sexuality.

Daisy - I seriously thought it had a connection to Thomas and the Tank Engine, where Daisy, is the girl...and Dale has girl hair and surname is Thomas...lol.
Sparky - To do with his hair...as in it is like he put a knife in a toaster.
And as for Rocca:
Pebbles - Little Rock...the younger Rocca, and that is 100% certainty as Pebbles said in an interview with Dipper years back.

Well, it was out of the bag when he did a show with Tarks, hoping someone would ring him up (Via Tarks), the problem for the girls was the fact it was censored out.

Like I said before Dale has said himself Daisy is a nickname "anyone named Dale from the country" is given. I've heard of 1 or 2 Dales nicknamed Daisy, although it's old-fashioned.

I thought it might have been the hair although at the rate he's going he'll be shaved in about 2 seasons and they'll have to call him parched earth or something..
