Where did it start?
They're all replies to a RoCo tweet from like Tuesday I think. I remember seeing it, I think I replied to it from the BigFooty accountfu** me that Jonathan Walsh bloke tweets a lot. Can't even find that thread.
Who was the footy manager pushed out that ended up at St Kilda?
Ah, Matthew Drain. Wonder the story there.Drain helped the Saints in their 2009/10 success after working at Essendon in the 2000 era. Maybe?
I don't know who they are referring to in terms of after that. Drain left at end of 2002. Can't remember who was footy manager after that. Hamilton and Corcoran were 2008 and beyond. Maybe Cato? Jackson?

We simply don't have anyone strong enough to their arms free in tackles and demand 2 on 1's -like a Bont or Petracca. Some interesting points
Essendon’s desperate bid to address their midfield woes
Dylan Shiel has been dropped, honesty sessions have been held, the vision has been damning, the time has come for Essendon’s midfield to grow up.www.theage.com.au

Yeah I’m one that will disagree. No one wants to see players joking around and pretending like the game doesn’t matter, but we actually don’t know if that’s what happened because we have just about zero context for what was said or the history between the two players prior to the last 3 hours.Others might disagree & I know times have changed, but IMO, this is an horrendous look... and it shows that one of the most embarrassing efforts that the club has put out in recent years (actually - one of too many embarrassing efforts, lately) just doesn't hurt some people enough.
Not sure you can make judgment on a picture taken in a moment of time. Different if they are walking off the ground smiling and joking.Others might disagree & I know times have changed, but IMO, this is an horrendous look... and it shows that one of the most embarrassing efforts that the club has put out in recent years (actually - one of too many embarrassing efforts, lately) just doesn't hurt some people enough.
It's on this point where things get interesting... What response to take? The classic failed teams of late last century like the Saints and Richmond just turned over their football department every couple of years thinking that was going to achieve something. I don't believe in throwing the baby out with the bath water but that doesn't mean you are going to find success with a more nuanced approach. It also means you have to deal with rabid fans demanding wholesale change every five minutes. The logical approach to take is to identify strong key people and try to build on them. The trouble is that the wrong people tend to be good at cementing themselves into roles and are hard to shift. I don't know for sure but i suspect Campbell is one of those just by the content of his addresses to players etc. He talks so much shit you feel like you are drowning in it.Ok, what do you think we should do?
All you talk about this change needs to happen, change needs to happen. What do you think the club has done the past two years? Change has and is happening as we speak. It takes time. Do you think Melbourne just popped up overnight? Richmond?
Nuclear power at Essendon would be great. In need of another Ziggy Switkowski report.

He probably did that with captain knackers. Not sure you can make judgment on a picture taken in a moment of time. Different if they are walking off the ground smiling and joking.

It was still a moment in time. That was a screenshot of a conversation where they were laughing & joking.
