Its now time to make a prediciton.

I cant split Brisbane and Kangaroos atm, too hard to tell, atm im gonna have to go with Kangas, Brisbane have good players like Leppa Adcock Drummond and co coming back whereas Kangas have there full list and are still sucking

I hate to say it, but Brisbane look a class below the rest of the league atm. They have to stop living off past premierships and pull their finger out. They've been disgraceful.

Im sorry Funkalicous but I believe Carlton easily.

Don't apologise. My lot's been disappointing. But they've been trying. Have Brisbane? ... Barely! Lip service at best. They've got real internal problems atm, and it goes all the way to the coach.

kangas are big chance.

imo it will be between (in no particular order) brisbane, essendon, kangas, tigers, blues and power.

southport sharks are hopeing for kangas

It hasn't been through lack of effort. Brisbane have only lost one game they should have won - against Richmond. Apart from that they lost to Geelong in Geelong, St Kilda at Telstra Dome and West Coast at Subi.

With a few games coming up at the Gabba, we should be able to get a few wins up and put you back in your place.

just get rid of the priority draft pick 'win' rule. It's sickening seeing sides deliberately losing at season end to win a priority pick.

they did over the off season...

now if you win 4 games or less you get extra pick at pick 17. if you win 4 games or less 2 years in a row then the pick 1 and 2 are yours.

btw, the same rule that gave the eagles chris judd? want to hand him back?

Not sure about that. I do know that Brisbane 06 looks nothing like Brisbane 01,02,03. No Lynch for starters. People seriously understate his importance to those 3 flags.

Carlton have been having a go but they look ordinary.

Gee, I'm pleased to hear that...... a move in the right direction.

But it didn't give us Judd. Without the priority picks we'd still have had pick 3. It's Sampi we would have lost at pick 6.

Anyhow, I know we played kids and blokes out of position to make sure we won a priority pick and that's simply not right.

Well one of the victorian teams will tank it to get draft picks. And who said the melbourne teams don't cheat.

I say it will be the roos or the blues. My tip is the blues.

Stop believing those pro-Brisbane media driven cop-outs. You can't accept a 10 goal loss just because you're not playing at the Gabba. The Lions have to be competitive every week. Home and away. If you ask me, complacancy on the road is what cost the Lions the game against Richmond. They've started to develop a losing culture, and what's worse, is that no one seems to care. I can think of about 10 senior players that've mentally hung up their boots since the 2004 GF. In an even comp, it's crap like that which has isolated them into a class of their own.

I think you're pretty close. The current Lions have had their glory and know they wont win another flag. Their motivation must be pretty low. I don't understand why matthews hasn't worked that out and traded the likes of Akermanis and Black. Get some good new blood and build for the next flag.

But you can accept it if you are playing probably the best team in the league at the moment and your team is half full of raw kids. Most of our experienced players were good last night.

I'd put money on that.

Carlton would be fantastic odds at over 40 points... at the Gabba! ... But that's another topic for another time.

Brisbane are like Carlton in 2003. - By that I mean their senior players do not care in the slightest about their current plight.

Some of Brisbane's kids look good, and they try.... but they're very raw.

If we were a rabble I would say so. Leigh Matthews is the most competitive man on the planet, and if players weren't trying their best he wouldn't pick them.

It will take time to develop the group. People like to stick the boot in when we're down and be melodramatic about how bad we're going. But in reality we are at that stage in the cycle.

You can accept it... and you can also lead the way (as only Brown has done).

Fact is, West Coast were missing 3 of their best 5 midfielder last night, and still Brisbane couldn't be competitive after quarter time.
