First time since I started following Carlton that there will be 4 potentially good mids being developed in VFL and not having to be thrown into the deep end day 1 - amazing turnaround for the Club -only took 10 years - and all under 20- with a top5 rated father son coming in -in a year's time. I guess that is why the Club has been able to play fast and loose with next years first two picks to pick up this Smith kid.

Collingwood have strengthened their list for 2025 - Carlton have strengthened their list for a longer duration. My my how times are changing.
The same thing has been said for the last 25 years... good luck with that..

Pies supporters giving advice on the draft. Lol. Collingwood , themselves, have risen the white flag and have basically admitted that they're no good at identifying talent after the freeman/scharenberg disaster, so they go and poach ready made has beens on the cheap and throw the kitchen sink at middle of the road players. It's why they continue to give away 1st and 2nd round picks.
We poached two players a couple of years back who we turned into a Norm Smith medal winner and a premiership key forward. That is how you do football.

I would have thought Smith is straight in the Blues side. Half back or half forward flank and get some midfield minutes?

Seems to have a some good skills.
Yep.

He comes straight in and pending injury/suspension wins the Rising Star (will be harder for Levi to have the same impact at Brisbane).

But Levi and Jagga are the best two 'ready mades' in the draft.

Carlton 2025 = Geelong 2007.

Smith = Selwood

Oi keep it nice!

We're here to demolish Carlton but thats excessive, no evidence Jagga is a filthy unsportsmanlike duck merchant.

If he is fit enough I'm guessing like a few of the high end ready to go kids he will probably start HBF or HF and the occassional mid minute here and there - will be good to have him as well as (hopefully) a fully fit Walsh running their lines. As for Campos - they will dong VFL duties for a while- good thing about Ben is he has some decent body size to build on.

There aren't many more ready made players than Jagga. Will obviously need to put on more size with a few off seasons in the gym, but he'll be ready to go round 1.

I guess we will know soon enough - what I do like about what Ive seen from him - is that he definately has a 'footy brain' and some running capacity - welcome addition to the rotations based on that.

That he has. Also expect him to be a big game/big moment player.

A Few of the Pies boys in here need to come over to the bay every now and again. There are upgraded version Carlton flogs there that need a wake up call (Richmond supporters).
How DARE you insinuate that Richmond are better than Carlton at ANYTHING!

🤢🤮
WTF Fadge. I don't come in here every morning to read you getting along all lovey dovey with Carlton posters and pumping up their new recruit.
Wtf man??
Scritchy, as I've always said.. I give credit where it's due.

Jagga as good a selection for the now as they could have got. Now we just have to see exactly how far he moves the needle in his first couple of seasons.
