Universal Love White Owl Charity Event

Good afternoon,

I help run a charity called White Owl. We are a registered not for profit organisation whose aim is to increase awareness of men’s health and wellbeing issues, and raise funds to assist its charity partners. White Owl was established in 2016 by seven men, following the loss of two close friends, both in their early 40’s, to prostate cancer and suicide.

White Owl’s goal is to help more men become aware and proactive in maintaining their physical and mental health, and accessing the support and preventative networks and treatments that are available to them. Our 2017 fundraising event will be held in the Crest Room @ Etihad Stadium before & during the Round 11 AFL clash between North Melbourne & Richmond. After capping the event to 200 attendees last year, we are hoping to fill the venue with 300 guests this year and we have already secured Nathan Thompson (ex: North Melbourne & Hawthorn footballer who has raised considerable awareness around clinical depression) as a key note speaker. Tiffany Cherry has also signed on again in 2017 to be our event MC and we are working on a few more guest speakers too.

For $150, each guest gets an A-reserve seat on level 2, a 5 hour food & drink package, raffle, door prizes, giant silent auction, guest speakers, support 2 wonderful charities & watch the Tigers win!!!! All details & ticket purchasers here - www.whiteowl.org.au.

It is a great way for the Tigers faithful to get to the game and contribute to a great night too.

Okay guys. The Mod Team received this message from White Owl and we believe this is a fantastic cause and urge those willing to get involved in this function.

Any funds raised to help further study illnesses in Men such as Proatate Cancer and Clinical Depression is a worthwhile cause, and having it at the football which is a masculinity orientated sport, is a fantastic idea and we urge people to check out the websites of White Owl and their partners.
