"It's 1994 and the success of AFL's national expansion sparked interest from all parts of Australia. Every state and territory got planning behind the scenes, but attention shifted to the other end of WA. With the West Coast Eagles fresh off their 2nd premiership triumph, Broome wanted to capitalize on this momentum shift and put in a bid to become WA's 2nd AFL team for the following season. After a lot of deliberation and concept design meetings, the "Broome Tropics" were born and would begin their journey in the 1995 season. A bright lush colour scheme stood out as they honoured their stunning beaches by rocking a coastline-esque design with Sunburnt red for their iconic cliffs and land, golden sand with the wave-crashing white and brought together with an aquamarine blue sea."
