It was done last night. NRL came down a bit + made some promises re: State of Origin games. Tourism WA is picking up a bit of the fee

I know Billy Slater is being headhunted to be the coach and face already. Will be highest paid coach in the league if he signs on

They would have to offer Billy half of Perth

Has a cushy media gig, his farm in victoria.

And only has to coach 3 games a year for Origin

2027 introduction is a insanely short timeline. Going through out of contract list in 2026 id want to make the beliow 5 MUST gets

Tyran Wishart
Nick Meaney
Reed Mahoney
Lindsay Smith
Lachlin Galvin

Main focus would be on Galvin and Wishart. Id be ringing Galvins manager up tomorrow and going for a 10 year 20 mill deal. You can build around his kicking game. Hookier is a position I believe that needs a focus when its a new team. Would consider Damien Cook even as a short term stopgap.

I feel we are the best equipped to go to the Super League and bring some UK Born players back. John Bateman may be interested coming here on a cheaper deal for example as well

I think Lachie Galvin has enough on his plate atm haha.

My mail is strong is he will be at Parra next year.

Mitch Moses and his cousin Issac whose the manager have already got Lachie across the line who was also a Parra Tragic growing up.

But yeah a 20mill dollar offer would change anybody's mind he just has to sit through 18 months of puregtory at Wests though for that to happen.

Yeah we would need to move alot of needles to get it done at a very late stage. I have Wishart as a MUST of all MUSTS. If we cant get that one over the line id be worried about what the list is going to look like...

Payne Haas is off contract at end of 2026.

I would be chasing him.

There is your forward leader right there.

Going further into the well it would be a case of also targetting soon to be out of contract guys and getting early releases. Dominic Young would be a no brainer. Tallis Duncan and Jack Howarth too. Jayden Sullivan as a sparkplug from the bench would be a easy get. Feel we can also target one of Bostock or Fuller from the Dolphins.

Yeah that's a great shout.

Will likely have to offer overs initially but I don't think WA should have too much trouble acquiring players.

Wayne Bennet is top priority as coach if not Brad Arthur his wife from WA and his son is apparently a gun upcoming hooker.

Wayne Bennett is 75. If he went, it's in name only. Starting a whole new club again at his age, away from home would be a huge undertaking.

Like the Dolphins attracting players to brand new franchise will be difficult. Should look at the Australian schoolboys and nsw and qld under 19 teams look at talented players who path is blocked

Zero chance he would leave the east side of Australia. Id make Lindsay Smith number 1 target as feel its more realistic and attainable

I think the NRL culture is changing with players wanting to move mid contract so we probably gotta lean into that abit. Forget the schoolboys aspect im thinking the actual 19 year olds on the sidelines not playing atm. Someone like Coby Black from Broncos would work as a example

Wouldn't have thought it's zero chance, it's at least worth asking the question.

I wouldn't touch Brad Arthur

Can't develop juniors and doesnt have a plan B in his coaching.

Chase the collison and play hard is all he has.

Speaking to a few people at Parramatta earlier this year they were shocked how under-skilled and under-prepared they were under Arthur. Ryles is slowly cleaning up the mess

It frustrates me as a Parra fan we wasted a great roster between 2019-2022 where a half decent coach probably gets us over the line.

Half decent coach may have got you a bit closer but it would've been a tall order to knock off that Penrith side regardless of who was at the helm.

To be honest, it makes the most sense to play the Warriors there.

Another one against Manly would be spicy.
Against Manly would be awesome, albeit I think it would sell out bloody quickly haha.

They could play the cowboys there and it would still sell i reckon.

I would have said 6pm Friday is perfect but that's 4pm in Perth so it can't be played then.

5:30pm Saturday game is ideal & the new metro station in North Sydney has made it easier to get to and from North Sydney then what it used to be.
