The Eagles sending out 17 premiership players for tomorrow's clash. The only missing Eagles from the 2018 Grand Final are Josh Kennedy (leg/shoulder), Jamie Cripps (toe), Will Schofield, Scott Lycett (Port Adelaide) and Mark LeCras (retired).

The Cats have also selected a strong squad, headlined by Patrick Dangerfield, Joel Selwood, Tom Hawkins and Tim Kelly, but Gary Ablett is an emergency for the game at Leederville Oval.

Bring it on!!!!

Even though It's just a JLT, I'm pretty pumped for this game. As mentioned Eagles fielding 17 premiership players, we've brought some heavy artillery to the table, could be a good hit out at various stages. At Others they won't get out of first gear.

Tim Kelly:cool:

Is it free entry to these JLT games?
Traditionally free GA for club members. Seems different for each game this year. Our game at Blacktown tomorrow night has been declared free, with access to the grandstand for the first Giants and Swans members to arrive until full. Everyone else sits on the grass.

Should be a good hit out, nice to see two strong line ups announced.

In some ways that is a little boring for the neutral supporter. I like watching other teams JLT games because we get to see new and talented kids coming through. I was excited to see Walsh play last night but looking through West Coast's and Geelong's lineups there is not a lot that is new about either team. Now I am not saying that is a bad thing from West Coast's or Geelong's point of view, but solely from the point of view from me it isn't as exciting as seeing a new draftee play for the first time.

understandable.
Ideally I would like to see us go into one of the JLT games with a strong squad and the other game loaded with youngsters/inexperienced players.

cracking scheduling by the AFL
if it needs to be 410, why not make it tomorrow or sunday. or Monday even as its public holiday in WA

or, like the wildcast Brisbane game last night in the nbl, schedule it at a decent time local like 7:10 pm and its Friday night, the geelong fans and other neutrals can stay awake a little longer

ffs

nothing ever changes

Gary Rohan will kick 10

Be interesting to see how Geelong play Rohan. Ironically I think Rohan would be very well suited to the new kick out from defence rule as he is very quick, a good decision maker and a strong kick. Rohan's problem has always been finding the ball, but if the ball is handed to him like it would be kicking it out from defence then that solves that problem in his game.

Gaff will play like a man possessed
Kelly will dominate
I think we might win as the Eagles won't take it as serious.

Whatever happens it's good to have a run against a champion team like the Eagles, and both teams have some great talent on show.

Agree that Rohan is quick and has trouble finding the ball, I don't rate his decision making though

Keen for this one.

The Eagles we know about, doubt much will change for them early in the season.

The Cats are a total wildcard though. Still with enough talent to make the top 4 but could decline and miss the 8.

Like seeing Big Sav back in the forward line and a retool with more speed and pressure. Same with their midfield. Get the balance right with youth and defensive work rate.

A bit more concerned they've named 6 defenders > 190cm and without great run and rebound in Taylor, Blicavs, Stewart, Henry, J Kolo and Henderson. Henry named on a wing, Duncan named half back which I like.

I think they have to play quicker and more aggressively than they did for large stretches in 2018 and that means less big slow defenders.

Ratugolea back you beauty!

He showed good signs last season and was on the verge of having a breakout game. Missed a few snags which didn't get him that mini bag, then got injured and missed the rest of the season.

Great to have him back!

Can't wait to see how Jarrod Cameron goes for WCE too. Brother of Lions forward.
