Thought the final scoreboard flattered us a bit, umpires certainly helped us out, but a good win regardless. It's great that we continue to beat another rebuilding team.

Paddy and Hughy's first win for the footy club, they're going to lead us to plenty more over the next decade.

Saints now in 13th place 1 win clear of Essendon and Melbourne, plus we have the better margin. Good chance this is where we will be staying for the rest of the season

We don't even need to bother mentioning Rooter any more.
Gears good game, brings a lot to the table, but those turnovers.
Sinkers is a remarkable young player, best young player in the comp.
Paddy gaining confidence every week.
Joey is a different player from last year.
Would be great to see Newnsey take a game by the scruff.
Schneids I'm not sure.
Webbie courageous but getting a touch of the Gearys about him.
Longer becoming Big Boyish around the ground.
Dempster, we don't know how much we'll miss him until he's not there.

I would of liked to of seen our forwards get some more seperation and not all stand in the one spot. Far too often our players just bombed it in as a result.

They made us play to their standard in the 2nd quarter and to our credit we played the better football from then on, the big question for me is, are Melbourne really on the right path? Melbourne's game plan seems to be to make the opposition play worse than Melbourne, no matter no bad Melbourne are. Very negative and hard to watch.

As soon as they decided to play a handpass-happy game, we had them. That's the football we counter best and it was very pleasing to see us produce it on the G. We hunted, tackled and forced turnovers for most of the match.

If only our delivery into the forward line was of similar quality to the tackling pressure.

Jack fought well under a pretty decent tag, it's worth remembering the job Viney did on him last time
Roo. Just wow.
Dempster was magnificent down back, he's got better grip than Spider-man.
