Incredibly low and underhanded move by flog cry-baybe Elmer_Hauser getting suspended. Has worked out his flog posts on the thread were underpinning his record vote. He must have hired an advisor because no chance he came up with that vote minimising strategy on his own.

okay so, based on my preliminary observations: the votes that could be removed, according to my arbitrary system would be those of: tropicaltiger, cairo tiger, richcogs, tugga, hoos, the dunnstown pope (benny), bftiger, tigs2010, astutetiger, all aust, tigdog, freddy swift, whatamark (probable benny), adamov13, footfein99 (benny), james dean, and then a number of users with profiles i cannot access. if you move it down to 250 posts, the majority of these users would remain disallowed to vote.

to encourage an honourable and fair voting system, i suggest (in line with the old democratic processes) that one must have a minimum of 500 posts in the bay - very easy to check to see if you're an eligible poster, and they must have 50 from this season at a minimum. think of it as a more valuable form of land ownership from yesteryear.

for example, of my nearly 7'000 posts, only 1'743 have been made in the bay, the majority being from season 2024, in contrast, one of the blow in votes has only a measly 23 posts, last of which came in august 2023.

i for one don't think someone who's posted so little in the bay for season 2024 would be able to make a fair and reasonable judgement call on who would be the flog of the year, it'd be unreasonable and dishonest!
