Re: Eyre. I was talking to his dad, who seems to think its just opportunities based. And maybe the club realise we're more less stacked with key forwards than key defenders.
Hopefully this is short term until we get some more forwards in and then we can push him back in his rightful position.

Shortest VFL team we have ever selected

No not really not even close, that happened a couple of weeks ago. We had no rucks, no Eyre no Smit. Hutchinson at FF at 191cm, Farrent and Purcell in the ruck, no Krueger as he was injured a few times Ned Long took the ruck as there was no one.
The side is more balanced now but the mids we have can’t compete just too many injuries and they are top up VFL players, no hate on that it’s just how it is.

If you put Glover and Schreiber into the backline with Ryan, that height isn't too bad, and Eyre/Johnson/Farrant/Crocker in the forward line is a decent size. Smit is a legit ruckman, so we've got that, at least. Lack of second ruck will be interesting. I assume they'll have Johnson doing it because expecting that from Eyre is too much at this point.
