What are your thoughts on Congress (Speaker Johnson has said so) only providing aid to California with conditions?

Such conditions weren’t attached to States (which were all red states) impacted by recent hurricanes. Oddly enough, California is a blue state.

California would be the world’s 5th biggest economy if it were a country and it produces enormous $$$$ for the US government in taxes.

Oh and a website funded by Charles Koch would have no bias whatsoever. Yeh? Nah.

Actually thats been massively debunked. Dont stress i fell for the misinformation too. Most people labelled the dam empty footage and put two and two together Trump was right and that they rejected it because of fish.

1. Like any first responce emergency system its only designed for a number of emergencies at once. Fire Hydrants rely on the water system being at a very high pressure. Multiple uses at once is going to flatline the water pressure. This is what occured which had nothing to do with the dams.

2. Pipes also burst in neighbourhoods because of the pressure from the heat of the fires. This also flatlines the the ability to use the hydrants. So A lot of misinformation going around. Trumps solution wouldnt have solved shit.

The real sad thing about any indepth wide spread review into the response and governance of the fires will be hijacked by political grandstanding. Already it appears aid will come with conditions, I would not be surprised if those conditions involve the democrats ceding power and going to an election. Where the republicans will try and use the fire to win the state.

The sad thing is, it has nothing to do with the fires, it is all about trying to turn California red in preparation for the next POTUS election.

The only people I think who should be pardoned are the George Flloyd cops. What a railroad that trial was. Even the first coroner was sacked because they said it was a fentonyl overdose so they brought in a 2nd one to conveniently find it suffication. They must be pardoned. That was the biggest load of injustice.

I don't know, I haven't seen the proposal. On the face of it, I would have a negative view of that, but I haven't seen these conditions.

And one of the points of that article is that that position is under threat from some red states.

You'd also want to consider, if you were a Californian, whether being a large (but arguably shrinking) economy producing enormous $$$ in federal taxes adequately offsets high state taxes and state debt.

The figures you refer to were grants from the Toleration and Free Speech Programme at the Charles Koch Foundation. They were made to Spiked US, our former US sister charity, between 2016 and 2018, to produce a series of events and films about freedom of speech.
