Well, what a great crowd showed up at Max Basheer reserve this morning. Bet Mark Williams and Rob Snowden were gnashing their teeth with envy! Nice of them to show up to join in the fun.

Thought the guys looked pretty good, seeing as there was a strong wind blowing, and it was stinking hot, even at 9.45 a.m. Ex-captain Mark Bickley started out very well, and Matthew Shir looked good too. Scotty Welsh was in everything, even going the wrong way at one stage, much to his team mates disgust! Cicolella was good, but poor old David Gallagher still has to practice his disposal skills.

Great to be back down at Footy Park, even though the new bus depot would have to be the biggest piece of vandalism I've ever seen. What a hell-hole. All those great trees gone. Can't see how it'll improve traffic flow, as cars will only have two lanes each way, and the bus lane peters out at Tapleys Hill Road. What happens there? Big bottle neck? Time will tell.

Cow54, Was there a game this morning who were the Crows playing. I'm interested to know because you said your guys looked pretty good.

Apparently the Yellow side won by about 6 goals, so what happened to the other side. Its always good to say the Crows looked great when the other side was thrashed. What about the Crows on the other side, they must have played pretty crap.

Don't get too far ahead of yourself unless you want to keep on following the Yellow team but I don't think they will finish anywhere this year.

Port Adelaide Forever

I don't think any Crows supporter is saying we're going to win the premiership after an internal trial, but it's good to see most of the guys do alright. Internal trials obviously mean nothing but by the same token I'm glad to hear some of boys performed reasonably well. More importantly though, no one was seriously injured and hopefully that trend can continue.

Good to see the footy at last.Fantastic to see Matty Bode do so well as we need to have a real rover in the side, wonder why Port let him go? Fellow Crow supporters don`t get sucked in by Port Power supporters and their jealous undertones at our mighty 2 time AFL premiership club as we have been at the "G" and tasted that utimate success and until they have been there and done that, Port supporters will be bitter, angry , dissapointed, nasty and just plain old envious of the only team from South Australia to go to Melbourne and beat the Victorian`s and lift up that cup

Pride

It's great to see a game that meant absolutely nothing get over 2 pages of coverage in The Advertiser. Nothing else must of happened in the world yesterday.

When I said the guys looked great, I meant ALL the guys, not just the yellow or red guys. Having not seen them play for so long they would have looked good to me if they all fell over and dropped every ball they went for!! Seriously though, they DID look good, even Russell Ebert (yes that great Port man) said they looked good. He said the goal kicking was good, seeing as how there was a very strong wind. Apparently the Port boys were also having a run at Alberton in the same conditions, so he knows what he's talking about. So maybe the team which lost had some disadvantage with the wind, as they weren't as fresh as they were when they started i.e. kicking into it at the end.

Pride of, What planet are you from?. As a Port supporter I will be the 1st to admitt that the Crows preformed magnificently during the finals series to win their 2 premierships. They were truely deserved. It's only idiots like you that that makes us Port people hate the Crows.

I for one am not angry, dissapointed, nasty or just plain envious of anything. What has happen in the past has happened, it can't be changed. I only care for what happens this year. So get a life Stupid.

Yeah the coverage was over the top. You'd think it was 93/94. However, it more than made up for the Brett Montgomery soap opera that was dominating the sports pages the 2 days prior. Bloody Rucci!

Jerome

Jerome, again I agree with you. That Montgomery issue was a joke. Rucci turned it into a bigger issue than it really was. Infact I refused to read the stories they had about it in The Advertiser.
