TigerGlory Steps Down - Demons in turmoil... er... again.

Another blow has hit the Mt Buller Demons as things this season have not gone to plan.

TigerGlory, who is seen as one of the better SFA posters, has stepped down from the captaincy leading the team into further chaos with no real leader having been appointed to take his position. The blow comes at a poor time for the Demons as they sit in a dangerous position to win another wooden spoon.

Some corners of the media have labeled TG 'soft minded' and 'weak' as many see this as him stepping down due to the club not reaching its potential, but inside sources say that TG has done an amazing job ot turn the club around, but cannot commit his future to being a regular poster due to family circumstances, as his pet dog 'Princess' is rather sick.

A spokesperson from the club stated "It is an obvious loss for the club when our captain steps down, but he has done a fantastic job since the JokeyJerk fiasco and we can hopefully get some stability soon enough."

Cooney is the clubs vice captain and was thought to automatically take over the role, although EBIAC has thrown his hat into the ring which many saw coming. Rumour has it though that Freakie plans to run for captain and turn Mt Buller into a totalitarian communist state, and strives to be one of the most harshest dictatorships in modern history.

I can confirm that the "jokeyjerk" situation would not have occured if TigerGlory wasn't running the club. If EBIAC and I were joint captains, I would have remained a Demon and the club would be stable. But TG's captaincy has seen the club dragged through turmoil one too many times.

Congratulations TigerGlory, here is your captaincy in summary:
  • Tarkyn and EBIAC rebuild a struggling club, and you are one player recruited in the process.
  • Tarkyn leaves the Demons, and EBIAC appoints you as a co-captain to help out naming the team.
  • Put simply, EBIAC began by doing all of the work, while you were content to take the title as "captain." EBIAC posted teams and game summaries and dealt with private matters.
  • Any extra work was eventually taken on by me, sending PMs out to players, and at one point was in charge of our list management. EBIAC and I did all the work, while you sat back and was captain of a wooden spoon team.
  • You were voted the league's worst captain.
  • EBIAC stood down as captain, at which point you decided to elect a co-captain. Me.
  • My hesitancy towards co-captaincy with you was made known to you in private conversations, along with the fact that my interest was waning. I was then warned that if I couldn't commit to the club right then and there, I had to leave.
  • You then allowed your highest profile player to delist himself, and dictate to the club who would step in as captain, rather than take control of the situation yourself.
  • Cooney becomes captain, then vice-captain, EBIAC wants to be captain but isn't, and somehow in all of this you remained captain. The one person we needed to relinquish his role refused to.
  • And then, at the worst possible time, as your side is on the bottom of the ladder, THEN you relinquish your position. Now the club is left to find yet another captain.
  • Did I mention you were voted the league's worst captain?
All in all, Kerrby>TG.

Pretty sure I wasnt made captain the day I was recruited. Just putting it out there.
Tarkyn leaves the Demons, and EBIAC appoints you as a co-captain to help out naming the team.
A role which he can confirm to you, that I took hesitantly. I never asked to be captain. Unlike you I dont have the belief that the SFA runs around me, I was quite content to simply play footy, but EBIAC asked me to be co-captain and I wasnt going to say no.
Put simply, EBIAC began by doing all of the work, while you were content to take the title as "captain." EBIAC posted teams and game summaries and dealt with private matters.
EBIAC was the true captain, and we discussed that and I was perfectly happy to let him run the show. In the end I was a second year player, I didnt have any experience with running the club, EBIAC knew that I had neither the confidence or the know-how to run the show as good as he did. EBIAC showed me the ropes, which turned out to be invaluable this season.
Any extra work was eventually taken on by me, sending PMs out to players, and at one point was in charge of our list management. EBIAC and I did all the work, while you sat back and was captain of a wooden spoon team.
You were always going to bring yourself into it. I did everything that was asked of me as a co-captain, and again, EBIAC can confirm this. As for you, if you feel so proud of sending out a few PM's, then why did you run out on a struggling club? A club that was days away from folding?
You were voted the league's worst captain.
Ill take that on the chin and deservedly so. This is my third season of fantasy footy, everybody else here who is a captain is a club legend and highly experienced poster. I dont find that title offensive at all, all that does is tell you the high standard of captain's we have in the SFA.
EBIAC stood down as captain, at which point you decided to elect a co-captain. Me.
Yes I did. I was far from ready to do this thing myself. You conveniently ran out on the club when you were needed the most, thanks for that.
My hesitancy towards co-captaincy with you was made known to you in private conversations, along with the fact that my interest was waning. I was then warned that if I couldn't commit to the club right then and there, I had to leave.
Im unaware of any private conversations regarding that topic. You're welcome to enlighten me however. I will definatley confirm that you were warned to commit to the club, and that was made very publically known. You held the club to ransom basically, and I wasnt going to let you get away with it.
You then allowed your highest profile player to delist himself, and dictate to the club who would step in as captain, rather than take control of the situation yourself.
I let you leave of your own accord. Everybody agreed that you were better off out with the way you were acting and carrying on. We were right in the end. You whored yourself out to every available club, and didnt make a decision for weeks.
Cooney becomes captain, then vice-captain, EBIAC wants to be captain but isn't, and somehow in all of this you remained captain. The one person we needed to relinquish his role refused to.
We had a leadership shuffle around, as was the wishes of the playing list. We fixed all those issues and were better off for it.
[*]And then, at the worst possible time, as your side is on the bottom of the ladder, THEN you relinquish your position. Now the club is left to find yet another captain.
Incorrect. We arent on the bottom of the ladder, you might like to have a look at that. Also, the worst possible time to stand down would have been in the off-season crisis that the club had. Such as what YOU did. I could have very easily said that the job was too tough and stood down as well. But I didnt. At that time the list was very thin, you weaseled out of the club, EBIAC was our best player but didnt want the captaincy, and our only other potential candidates at that time was cooney who was only a 1st year player and didnt have the experience and Headless who was also a very reluctant leader. Right now the list is in much better shape, we have blokes like Freakie, cats2rise, Dylz48, CrowGirl74, Deestroy, GoCattas and numerous others, who have all been brought to the club since you pissed off. Whatever is said about me, I know and the blokes at the club know, that I took the reigns during an extremely tough period, and I was in charge when the club got out of that period. On-field results will come, but off-field we were in terrible shape, not helped by you leaving at an extremely crucial time. Once again, I could have taken the easy way out, but I didnt.

Kerrby is a good player who I like to take the piss out of. The most important thing here is that everybody in the league has more integrity than okeydoke7. :thumbsu:

Wow a post all about Okey, who didn't see that coming?

My apologies. I must admit, I did assume you were on the bottom, an assumption that was incorrect. In fairness, I pretty much had a 9/10 chance of being correct.

If you believe it is worse to relinquish leadership in the off-season than halfway through a season then I can't help you TG. It confirms what the majority of the SFA has believed for a long time.
