It's the off season! Time to watch some films instead of spending hours that we would otherwise be watching Richmond and Carlton embarrass themselves and master coach Fagan and Lachie Weller tear the competition to pieces during the AFL season.

Post some scene below that you think are some of the greatest in cinematic history! Sensible suggestions only!!!! This thread is incredibly serious. This thread may contain spoilers:

Jack saves Rose in Titanic:

Ofelia meets the pale man in Pan's Labyrinth. Extremely creepy, this haunted me for quite some time!

The scene that someone posted on bigfooty I watched late at night. It made me want to watch Twin Peaks. How lucky I was that someone posted it! Best show ever.

The old lady scene from It Follows

Patrick Verona serenades Kat Stratford! Goat second act scene of any romantic comedy ever.

The creepy scene from The Shining.

The opening scene of Inglorious Basterds is one of the greatest scenes ever.

Edward meets Bella. #teamjacob should have won. I am still quite devestated about this.

Jen's tea-house fight scene in Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. "I am the Invincible Sword Goddess, armed with the Green Destiny that knows no equal! Be you Li or Southern Crane, bow your head and ask for mercy!"

This film had some excellent set pieces, "That's why no one will remember your name" is very fine.

The whole film didn't handmg together that well but this thread is about scenes, and the three key duels are epic. I think Menelaus vs Paris is as good as the other two, seeing the twerp (Orlando Bloom played Paris perfectly as a spoilt turd) shit himself as the fat old cuck took revenge was gritty.

What an incredible actor Orlando 😍 is when he is an alpha male in real life who could easily kill that guy but can convincingly pretend to be a coward.

Bloom is a handsome fellow on screen but not a skilled performer. He's a skinny skateboarder type.

Gleason is a tremendous actor of great skill and presence, as well as brutally built Irish footballer.

I have little doubt of the outcome were they to really fight.
