Interested in peoples thoughts on this one. Pretty good series and Redmayne fits in nicely to the role. Quite a number of plot holes / contradictions which are irritating and I do feel that Lashana Lynch is the only real let down. I haven't seen her in anything else so I can't work out if it's her acting that is poor or the writing for her character.

For example - we absolutely must/need to capture this person alive - proceeds to indiscriminately blast away at them when they do a runner.

Pretty forgettable show to be honest. Pretty poor story telling from the perspective of a spy thriller with too many plot holes and weird situations you wouldn't expect in this genre. I mean, how many fckups can an assassin make before getting shot, killed or captured.

Maybe I have seen too many other shows like this and have been conditioned that way.

I'm up to ep 3 and loving it. Great production values. Redmayne is very good.

Agree about Lashana Lynch. She's not a good actress and her role is badly written. One of the main things about being a spy is to blend in. She would stand out like a sore thumb in Latvia and Belarus. She's a desk operative/handler and looks like she's carrying a few kilos. The idea of her going on an armed capture mission in foreign territory is ridiculous.

Enjoying this a lot but can't get over the fact they can't get/don't have a photo of an ex-soldier so they can identify the jackal??

I didn’t realise there are 10 episodes, so two to go…
Episode 8, to me anyway, was a little predictable. Of course he would do that, not clear on his motivation though.
Perhaps as some sort of retribution for the wedding party massacre?
Still enjoying it though.

I just want to see that campaigner with a bullet in his head.
Deserves it. Killed too many people. Poor Rasmus.

There's been a lot of innocents along the way. The truck driver and the policeman. The farmers in Hungary. But they've done a good job in making you empathise with an assassin. Bianca, the MI6 agent, is unlikable and also has blood on her hands.

The neck slashing scene was ridiculous

Rest of the episode was great
