This is a sad escalation , but almost inevitable after years of increasingly partisan rhetoric.

The US is a dangerous place right now and I really hope this isn't an indication of what is to come. Unfortunately, I don't see how this election will be a peaceful one.

A lot of agitated people out there and when you consider the US has passed the historical inflection point for wealth inequality and the saturation level of guns there, it's a worrying sign. Very dangerous times.

That doesn't mean that someone who would vote Democrat didn't enable this to happen.

That someone could be on that roof in such open territory suggests there's been a massive breakdown in the USSS/FBI in securing the surrounding perimeters.

That's the only place I can see a conspiracy theory rising from.

We need leaders who will try and bridge the gap, and right now I don't see that happening. As much as I think RFK Jnr is a nutcase, I can't understand why he isn't afforded at least some of the security he has requested.

Further highlights the risks posed to the republic by far left wing extremists.

I expect to see a press release from the FBI assuring us they are monitoring these groups closely.
