This year I've been put in charge of team fines at my club. For those who don't know what that is, you basically fine your team mates for doing stupid things and all proceeds go to our end of year trip.

For example,

Forgetting footy boots - $5
Getting a shit hair cut - $5
Appearing in a Myer catalogue - $100

Just wondering if the people on BigFooty can think of any good ones - the funnier the better...

The main one at most clubs is that if a photo of yourself is in the local paper, it's a $5 fine.

Yeah got that one down. After you think of four or five gets hard to think of any others.

Television appearance - $50

^^ $50 is a bit steep.

At our club we have a $2 fine if we kick the ball over this massive net we have a each end behind the goal posts.

Reports also have a fine of about $20.

A FEW POSSIBLE IDEAS

- Have a night where you have to drink using a certain hand or even both hands. If caught drinking with the left hand when it's a right hand period it's a $5 fine.

- Urinating in the shower $50 fine

- Maybe even give the players something very small such as a nut (hardware style nut). If they are unable to present it for inspection at a training night, they get fined $5.

- $5 for not staying for a drink after training, $10 for not staying for a drink after the game, $20 for not attending an after-match function

What you should do (what we are probaly going to do this year) everyone gets a dare they need to do and depending on the degree of the dificulty of the dare they pay more money if they dont do it. Eg. an easy dare which isn't done deserves $30 whereas a hard one might only be a couple of bucks.

One bloke who is about 35 now appeared in a catalogue when he was younger. Poor bloke still hasn't lived it down.

we used a cork a couple of years ago, not a bad gig either. i'm a postie and have about 4 or 5 blokes live in my round, so i used to bang on their doors with their mail and try to catch them "corkless", a good sneaky trick!

other than that, gold coin fines for just about anything. even a fine for going thru the year without getting a fine.
