Will be absolute fire works when Kiewa come up against Mitta!!
With Cameron and also Knight agreeing on terms and giving that golden handshake with Mitta then doing a backflip and signing with the hawks.
I also understand it will be Tueon last year with Mitta, could go out with a bang, goes alright with the fists!!

Yeah, could be good. At least Kiewa will be able to pay them with the proceeds from that dodgy car raffle they did last year.

What will happen with this umpire shortage?Seems as though clubs will have to supply their own predominately.Could amount to some interesting times throughout the year.

Might have to go back to the early 1900's when the team captains umpired the game !!
Want to hope finals spots don't hinge on byest decisions. Any news on practice matches club websites are showing me nothing what about your mob i & u any lined up that you know of.

Does a preseason there every year will no doubt stay at Yackandandah

Your right STP, he trains with every club bar the one he actually ends up at (re Holbrook 2005), so Yack shouldn't be too worried.:D

Also any of you Mitta blokes have any news on Culph. He was headed with Mulholland to the mines in WA for work but as didn't quite get out of the Lavi borders. I think he got stuck in the door of the Garro. Will he be there this year, know he has been seriously thinking of heading back to the States to chase his tennis coaching job. Also are the Nelson boys heading back up the mountains, heard they may be staying in Melbourne to play with big Fraser in the city.

I dont think he signs his name, he bought himself a stamp. Saves time.

Coming from a Wodonga bloke, Camo never signed with either Mitta or Wodonga. Only reason he was heading to Mitta was cause he great mates with Pearce(good pair of knuckle dusters they make) but with Pearce off to Noosa he trained with Wodonga a few times but eventually decided on Kiewa. I've come to believe he has strong ties there with his old man, his father in law and his best mates(Richardson) old man all in the team of the century out there. Cant wait to see him take on the mitta men

Packer seemed to think he was a good mate as well, and although he never signed he verbally committed and your word is the most trusted thing you can give so rightfully so mitta is dirty as hell:thumbsdown:

Mulholland retired, Culph staying at Mitta along with Mark Carty returning from Jindera. Cam Taylor is moving to QLD and Josh Hillary played in a practice game for Albury on saturday (all but signed).

Arceri, what are you on mate? A bit more detail when you say I erred badly in naming myself cobber! For starters, I don't have a clue what you are talking about or what you mean. The other bit about your sources at Lavi & Barny really amuses me. I have absolutely no connection with Lavi whatsoever and never have, never will. I do however know a couple of blokes who play with Barny and most TDFL clubs.
Arceri EXPLAIN YOURSELF!

Arceri, where have you gone? Come down from the hills and attempt to validate this BS. A little bit of humour would be nice.

The Mitta v Kiewa game should be a beauty to watch, but will Cameron's dodgy knees hold up for that encounter?
Run Straight, I've heard Barny may play one or two Hume league sides in the Pre Season. Thurgoona will play Temora & a side from Canberra.

Don't know why you'd be asking me about Barny ??

Read earlier thread josh will play with Yack, even if he does sign with Albury he will end up out there.

Barny are playing jindera on the 17th at thurgoona and holbrook i think on the 31st. Dederang are playing Wohrouly and Bright. Thurgoona are playing Queanbeyan reserves on the 17th (some connection with the coach) Rand/Walbundrie on the 24th and Temora on the 31st. Mitta are playing Rand/Walbundrie on the 31st. Thats all i got at this stage.

I heard a rumour yesterday that Beechworth could be going into recess as they are struggling with players and an un-playable ground. Anyone confirm or deny this.

He'll play with yack as he will realise his not good enough to get a game at Albury.

N.O.P. I Reckon your being a bit harsh. He was a starter in the 1st 21 at Lavi in 05 (premiers that year) before a last minute shift back to Holbrook on the death knock of the clearence deadline.
Why would he not be good enough to get a game at Albury?

Who's asking about anything RS? You wanted to know of any practice matches a week or so ago, this is all I've found out, sheeshus!

Oh, sorry. . Rutherglen play Holbrook at Holbrook March 24 and Cobram at home 31st March. (You can read that on their website, along with their committee meeting minutes including bank balances !!??!?!) There are no secrets at Rutherglen !

Surely this rumour couldn't be true NOP. Anyone heard the same? You'd have to think they could muster up enough players at least for a senior side.
Admittedly, letting Brock go and signing up a bloke who's coaching highlights would fit on a stamp wasn't seen as a masterstroke!

Was talking to someone from the club last week and their wasnt any talk about that at all. The ground is looking ordinary, but i would imagine a few others would be as well. they have only picked up a few senior players from what i was told, less than what they were hoping for with a new coach. They have been getting ok numbers to training, but they have lost some good players and they will drop off compared to last season, but they will still be able to field a senior side.
