Anyone else have a record of any other games?

Most (if not all) WA SOO matches should be detailed from a WA perspective here (thanks to the WAFC website).

That's a pretty good start. Will see what else I can drag up. Might have teamlists and goalscorers for more than a few matches.

Stats from the Herald-Sun for the 2008 game. The only thing that missed the scanning was the Avge total of ranking points, but obviously in this instance it is the same as for the Total column.

In reference to the Dream Team stats, the Distance of Goals stat down the bottom should have 11 goals from 40+ metres. I have other stats of other State of Origin games going back to 1988. I experimented with how well the above game would scan into Big Footy after photocopying the stats. I'll next "go backwards in time" and see how 1999 games scan after I've photocopied them, that is if people are happy with the quality of the above scan. If there are any better ideas as to putting these stats into this thread, let me know, but I'm no computer wiz. Let me know if you think it is actually worthwhile me trying to do this. I might not get around to 1999 games until Monday arvo, as there are not many places around here with a photocopier which are open on the weekend.

The year before Victoria played Tasmania, the Victorian squad appears to be

Gavin CROSISCA, Mick MARTYN, Stewart LOEWE, Scott MAGINNESS, Paul SALMON, Paul ROOS, Gary PERT, Scott McIVOR, Mil HANNA, Stephen NEWPORT, Darren MILLANE, Gary AYRES (C), Danny FRAWLEY, Darren WILLIAMS, Doug HAWKINS, Garry HOCKING, Matthew LARKIN, Craig LAMBERT, Mick DWYER, Jim WYND, Greg HEALY, Shane KERRISON
COACH: David PARKIN

According to the Open Mike with Hawkins last year, it appears Hawkins, Millane and Frawley had a good night afterwards.

The idea of having just one SOO game per year between states that would actually care about it could work, i very much doubt the AFL would ever consider it but seriously one SOO game per year would be great for footy lovers and not inconvinience club very much at all.
just do it like so:
2015 WA v Vic @ Subiaco
2016 Vic v SA @ MCG
2017 SA v WA @ Adelaide Oval
2018 Vic v WA @ MCG
2019 SA v Vic @ Adelaide Oval
2020 WA v SA @ 'Stadium WA'

Just out of interest who'd do ya'll reckon would win if QLD were to Play Tasmania this year(hypothetically)?

Could either fill a team? Tassie sure couldn't. You'd have to delve into the TSL.

There are 32 players from Tasmania and 45 from Queensland on AFL lists in 2014 by my calculations (though 11 Tas. and 8 Qld. have yet to debut). So yes, they could field teams (from AFL lists only) quite easily.

The South Australian stats from the same game.
Darren Mead gets a mention twice on this stat sheet but Warren Tredrea (who did play) doesn't. Since D. Mead (1) had a disposal out of D50 and D. Mead (2) managed to score 0.1 I'd say Tredrea's name should probably be where the second D. Mead is.

From the research I've found the squads for 1989 at the MCG
