The song is such a vibe!Each year a few friends share our a playlist of our top ten discoveries of the year gone by and Plastic Soul was my absolute favourite. It just instantly puts me in a good mood and everything else just fades out. The very first time I heard it, I felt like I knew it. Not in a derivative way, but it just reminds me of other songs (probably because it has a super common chord progression). My wife's first thought was “Angel” by Shaggy (which is pretty true) and when I looked it up online, it turns out that it is actually a sample of Erma Franklin’s “Piece Of My Heart” which interestingly is actually sampled by Shaggy in ANOTHER of his songs (also calle “Piece Of My Heart”).Anyways, I'm glad you and a few others love it too!
