Sigh... Another first game player as sub, apart from Sumner they all have been the last two years. Why Horse continues to do this boggles my mind. Not once has it proven effective. Maybe he's hoping Armstrong will be different because he's played at this level, but I don't believe it will be so.

Armstrong is not a first game player and his pre season has been heavily interrupted. Longmire would be hoping for Armstrong intensity but wary of the fact he could run out of legs. The same theory worked well for Hanners against the dockers and he was back to a full gallop the week after.

Armstrong being sub makes sense to me.
