Replacing the Paddle Pop Lion with a Modernized Fitzroy Lion?

Personally i love the modernized Fitzroy lion, and i think the club should have gone in the same direction as the Detroit Lions instead of changing the lion completely.

i wish this was our logo and i wouldnt mind if it went on our jumper aswell.

The Detroit one looks great!

It is a modern version of the "traditional" Fitzroy Lion that would give the marketing dept something to work with and wouldn't look out of place on the jumper.

I'm suprised that the 2 logos are so similar. I wonder if they were "inspired" from the same source?

I didnt know how to answer so i put somewhat disagree.
My opinion is that NO, the paddlepop shouldnt be changed to this. The paddlepop should change to the traditional fitzroy lion. YES this is better than the paddlepop, but the logo should NEVER have changed in the first place!!!

It's funny, this issue has lost a little of it's heat due the silence erupting from Lions HQ.

Then, BAM!!!!!!
Someone goes and designs a ripper of a Lion and the debate has again heated up.

Original FFC Lion > Updated FFC Lion >>>>>>>>>>>> Paddlepop Lion

its only more modern and keeping up with the times.
the form of the lion is still there from the old one anyway, so its not that big of a change.
And dont forget, the original fitzroy lion was made in the 60's i think.
so its fairly old.
but dont get me wrong, i love the old lion.
i just think the brisbane lions should have gone for this sort of approach, instead of changing the lion completely.

Are you kidding me? Not a big of a change. I am all for changing the logo of the club, as to the guernsey I think its an entirely different matter. This logo that is the example would look absolutely crap on the guernsey BTW and not only that it looks totally americanised and not "traditional" looking at all.

Well thats a different story about it being on the jumper.
im only talking about it changing from the new lion head.
the club wanted a modern logo from the old Fitzroy one, so they should of just updated it, not change it completely!

but i would rather the modern Fitzroy lion than the paddle pop lion, i can tell you that now!
Even on the jumper!

IF the club is hellbent on changing the Guernsey in addition to the Logo, then as a compromise I think that the change should be to this design.

IF they were going to change the logo it should have been to something like this. IF they are hellbent on changing the guernsey as well, then I'd accept something like this.

Gibbo is 100% correct. Put it to the Members, rather than tell us what they think is good for us on such a VITAL matter.

One of the real cool things about the Fitzroy Lion is that is would make an awsome tattoo, but if it was the new lion, it looks very kid like.
