Is it just me or have ads become twice as prevalent over night?

I'm now constantly getting a banner ad, two side page ads, a bottom page pop-up and ads in between posts every five or six posts. This is substantially more than we've had in the past.

What's worse is they're often the same ad, creating this garish, repetitive swarm of content.
