Need help in trying to find a song. You know that song "She's got the Look" by Roxette, I could have sworn that Prince also did a version of this song, but I can't seem to find it anywhere. The closest I could find is a song by Prince and Sheena Easton called "The Look", which is an entirely different song.

You know the one - it goes "and i go lalala la la.....she's got the look'

While I'm at it, does anyone know what that song by Q-Tip is called where he samples "Don't stop til you get enough" by Michael Jackson?

Two entirely different songs. Prince did a couple of duets with Sheena Easton, U Got The Look was one of them on 1997's Sign O' The Times Album. He never did a version of Roxette's which was released in 1989.

Okay, cheers. I thought Prince may have done a cover, as he's done some versions of pop songs such as Nothing Compares 2 U.

What about that Q-Tip song?

Nothing Compares 2 U was NOT covered by Prince, he wrote it and it was originally performed by The Family, Sinead O Connor covered it.

The Q Tip song may be "It Ain't Hard To Tell"?

I've heard a (studio)version by him many years back on a booteg a mate had.

there are a few bootlegged versions with Prince doing vocals, but there is an officially released version on The Hits The B sides on which he duets with Rosie Gaines. Prince has since said in an interview that he will never perform this song again as he can't sing it with Rosie (Rosie passed away a few years ago).

Was I right about the Q Tip's song?

I think this is what you're after, but it's not actually Q-Tip per se.

You've got the look (You've got the hook)
U sho'nuf do be cookin' in my book
Your face is jammin'
Your body's heck-a-slammin'
If love is good
Let's get 2 rammin'

Prince is a musical machine ... and has penned many songs for other artists. Apparently he still has 100's (don't quote me on that) of songs/samplings locked away in his musical vault. Just waiting for the right CD and timing to bring them out.

No-one beats the Prince for creativity and output IMHO.

Lady Lawrence - As a fellow Prince devotee I would not question you - but that lyric is way to clean for the man that gave us "Darling Nikki", "Erotic City" and "Head"!

This explains it...
Album Description A cheeky bootleg began causing mayhem on the pirates & underground dance floors alike. The deft splicing of an accapella from Q Tip's 'Breathe & Stop' & Michael Jackson's 'Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough' stood head & shoulders above the badly matched bootlegs in circulation. The two tracks worked flawlessly alongside each other & an anthem was born. The beginning of Mr. On's master plan had been revealed. The track was then teamed with the Jungle Brothers' distinctive vocal style & delivery stamping their signature on the track. Couple this with the clever arrangement & production from Mr. On & you have a weapon of choice for any DJ looking to raise the roof. Six tracks, 'Breathe Don't Stop' (Radio Edit, Extended Mix, Milk & Sugar Remix, Ali B's Plan B Remix, Blakkat's Blakacid Vox, & Video). Positiva. 2004.

'It ain't hard to tell' was by Nas and it sampled 'Human Nature' from Thriller.

This was all part of Prince's sexification of Sheena, a process which found its ultimate expression in her wonderfully titled sensitive love song "Sugar Walls".

I wonder what happened to Wendy and Lisa?

The Martika song is "Love thy will be done" - I would love to hear that man himself sing it.
