Yeah I went with my daughter.
17th Jan
Henry, Collard, Hastie, Said and Barratt all rehab. No compression on for Barratt. Looks to be running OK. Might have just had awareness or tightness.
Henry and Collard looked to be nearly at full speed. Henry ran alot of laps and looked to be moving pretty well. Collard definitely had a few 100% effort sprints on the other side.
Tauru on field. Rehab. Little bit of running. Not much though. Then spent time on bike.
Spoke to Clark - he's fine. Just sore
First drill that broke up into backs fwds mids. Caminiti, Owens Wilson all in fwds. Did separate drills for each group. Defenders worked on 2 on 1 aerial contests. Mids on the release kick out. Fwds lead up hits.
Carroll in mids has unreal speed. Think he will bring a lot to the fwd line. Do him and Hall both fit? With Higgins and Butler?
Max Hall got a lot of love out on the field. Pressure and tackling excellent. Really impressed.
NAS can be paid whatever he wants. The bloke is a freak. He can just get himself out of trouble every time.
Boyd is so quick once it hits the ground. Is going to be a bull. Think he will play a few games. When the ruckmen were off on there own they did some sprints. Marshall and Boyd blew Heath away. Marshall just beat Boyd.
Next drill they broke into 2 teams and the drill definitely favoured the black team. Working on defensive positioning and fast ball movement.
Jones, Windy, hall, Carroll, keeler, caminiti, shoenmaker, Garcia all in B team.
Cordy in A team. In defence ?????
But they switched players around. So might be just trying to even up the teams. Was pretty even. But of red team got it they just gave it to black. Red kicked out and worked the hall out of Defence but didn't get too far down the ground.
Fair bit of full ground work. Close in contested work. Then a drill that was very narrow across the ground. Working on pressure in tight. Those short 45 kicks. If no option it was long down the line and take it over the line.
Heath, Marshall and Boyd all did a bit of tap work against each other. Dodson was in the running group.
Looks like they were trying to go out wide and use the corridor closer to the 50. Steele and Phillipou not happy at stages with some of the players decisions to keep the ball out wide.
Owens and Hall stayed out and worked on goal kicking.
Noticed Goddard also working with Arie on positioning at the end of training.
Think match sim pretty close. Most drills seemed to be either contested or longer drills.
Fingers crossed all those mentioned above in rehab are just sore. The group is slowly getting bigger.
Carroll looks to have improved his tank alot. In Dec he was labouring at the back. But he held on to his group.
Alot to like about Boxshall. He takes them on. But can get himself into trouble. Think he could be a very good player. Just needs time to understand his strengths.
Dodson seems bigger than before Xmas.
That's about all I can remember.
Good report. Thank you, and great injury updates on Clark and Barrat that both are not bad as was feared.
