Walsh makes me sad, seems to play with no aggression or confidence in beating his opponent. They need to get Greg Phillips out there to teach him how to defend.

When Finlayson burnt two teammates and snapped at goal from distance which he piss blasted I think I totally lost any hope for him.

You can play aggressively without getting reported. Like not handing over front position, like keeping physical contact. Like dogging an opponent's every step. I hate to use the word, but he played timid football last night.

That’s my take on Walsh too. These 1 or 2 weeks suspensions are doing him no good in his development to AFL status and I guess he’s been told that.

I'm actually keen to delist him and Finlayson on Tuesday they're culture killers.

To have two senior players with a toxic, lazy, can’t be bothered demeanour and attitude around our younger players at the same time is abysmal list management

I didnt think he was that bad there was way worse (AFL listed players too) out there. He did drop a couple easy sitters though.

It wasn't meant to come across as he was bad. More he had bad moments as well as elite moments. I think a lot of the bad moments will be eliminated if he takes himself to a level higher physically. Certainly players on our list show less potential.

You guys are very hard on Carnelly. Yes he struggle at the level. It is a great example of the massive leap from Local footy to SANFL level. 5 years out of the system you don't pick up the pace straight away.

I'm assuming that was the bit of play where a south bloke fumbled twice and in the process gave Williams ample time to close him down from only a few metres away and he still c*** it up with an absolutely p* poor (non) tackle which allowed the south player to run off him!

He bitched it. Happened again when going back with the flight of the ball, heard footsteps and bitched it.

I should've more replied to the guy you replied too. Haha. But yeah I don't think Linke was bad in the first two rounds, this week was so/so but he certainly wasn't the worst out there.

I mean, people were calling nick Moore an average player and shouldn't be captain. Ridiculous stuff. He definitely showed this week that's he's well above average and absolutely deserving to be captain

Agreed Finlayson is definitely worth persevering with, he has the talent and if he can get his mind right he can still be a valuable player.

As you suggest Soldo `is a disgrace,' and I suspect he may be lacking in the character department by the way he appeared to just chuck in the towel when Sweet surpassed him as the first choice ruck, highlighted by an apparent request for a trade after only one season at Alberton, for unfortunately NO takers.

Different times and different rules of course, but the genuine Port Adelaide in the Big Bob, Fos and Jack Cahill eras wouldn't have tolerated any player with Soldo's obvious lack of effort!

I wandered out and watch my first sanfl game for years. First of all how good is alberton oval. The grass area next to the club rooms makes it so good if you are taking kids or want a genuine area to kick the footy.
Jack Watkins , brilliant game and needs to be on a afl list.
Whitlock, has filled out a lot in 6 months, I really liked the way he attacked the pack mark, uses his body to move those in front of him and we won’t lose pack marks when he is in the contest. The small forwards will feast on this.
Vistentini, as we all know we have a good one here, not quite ready for the number one spot but is now the number 2 ruck and he will overtake sweet, it is just a matter of when.
X Walsh, yeah I see what you guys like not afl ready but neither is Rads. We need to develop him.
Lai wow serious pace can we teach him how to play the lock down role on the small forwards, he will be able to turn defence into attack and also be able to defend the ball that gets out the back.
Barrett, really solid game, loved his poise and kick. He use to be a bull at a gate, really developing his game. I would play him ahead of McEntee.
Williams had a moment where he avoided getting a hard ball,he would need to get that out of his game before I would ever pick him for afl.
Marshall was really good in the one on ones. He could easily find his way back onto our list.
Berry excellent early, ran out of petrol in the last half and struggled to get over the ground in the last quarter. Something to build on in the future.
Lorenz had some very good moments and some very average moments. Needs to find the consistency at the top.
Based on last night the others are a mile away from afl.
Of the south boys
Grocock has the real competitive beast about him. Finds shots on goals in different ways although not tall he is ****ing strong, I would be happy to have him on our list.
Hargreaves is better than some of the guys on our list and should get a crack at afl football.

Good to hear your comments on Marshall. I thought he had something when we first drafted him as a lock down tall. His progress seemed to stall badly & I concluded he probably wasn't going to make it as the tall Afl defender we desperately need.

Sweet and Dante drive off a cliff together Ollie Lord can ruck.

The club said the rucking work Lord did in pre-season caused an injury & affected his progress. I don't want him rucking. He needs to be given a chance to develop as a key forward without distractions & the physical demands of ruck work.
