Not a fan, remind me of Motion City Soundtrack :thumbsd:
I like quite a few of their songs. The lead singer reminds me a lot of the lead singer from Fall Out Boy. I can't stand FOB, yet I don't mind P!ATD *shrugs*

I know sweet FA about them,

but everytime I see their name I think of the Smith's song Panic.

"Panic on the streets of London....burn down the disco, hang the blessed DJ"

Check it out, great song.

Also covered by Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine

I heard one song of their's... something like "Haven't you heard of shutting the god damn door?"

It sucked, badly.

Panic! At the Disco's name was taken from that line from the Smiths song. And yes, it is a fantastic song. :thumbsu:

Thats "I write sins, not tradegies" i think.

Not the greatest of songs, and the video isnt much better.

I can't remember what the songs called.. but the words in the middle of the chorus are somthing like.. "and I, aim to please". Can someone help me out? Thanks.
It's a pretty decent song.

'The only difference between martyrdom and suicide is press coverage' maybe? Not exact but only song I can think of with a line like in the chorus

Yep, thats the one. Cheers mate.
I got the line wrong anyway.. its meant to be "I aim to be your eyes,". Just looked up the lyrics.
Thanks again.

hmmmm, for some reason i love these guys.
its not really something id usually go for, but im loving this album. i only got it a week ago but ive listened to it a few times since.
it makes me want to get up and dance and im the furthest thing from a dancing type. its a killer album IMO. but yes, very much like FOB, but supposidly these two bands are pretty good mates.

Thanks Embley - you're good at this music thing ain't you?

At least I'm not just stupid when I think of that reference every time I see their name. phew

Wonder how Morrissey and Johnny Marr feel about the nod?

When it comes the The Smiths, I am very good. :p

Morrissey doesn't seem to like that many things so he may not be that chuffed. :p

No, I'm joking I'm sure he, Marr and the other two enjoy the honour. There is actually a band called Pretty Girls Make Graves.

They are pretty good, too.

Also, the Smiths had a b-side called Taking Back Sunday, which is now the name of a fairly popular band.

That is true.

Ahhh The Smiths are cool again.....

They actually have a very young following. In a way, they are bigger now then they were 20 years ago.

Yes, another band named after them. There are more too.
