Grima - Narni has something to do with his sister not being able to say Nathan when they were kids I think.

Greg Sawn - not sure about the Greg bit, Sawn refers to him having sawn down flippers at the pool

Boomer - has something to do with a junior b&f and the person calling it saying get up here you little boomer, or something like that.

*I read far too much useless info in the off season.

A lot of people ask me how I got my nickname - it all stems back to when I was on the satellite tennis tour & I was known as `Arti'. I was then in a Junior Aus Open qualifier against Mark Kratzman out at Kooyong & I was 7-5, 5-0 up. The winner was into the main draw. It was a very heated exchange & nerves got the better of me & I lost the 2nd set 7-5 & then lost the 3rd set 0-6. That was my tennis career done & busted & as I walked off the court, Kratzman referred to me as `Arti-choke'. The name has stunk ever since.

How did John Longmire get his nickname?

I thought one of the NMFC staff randomly thought Ben Mabon's name was Greg Sawn and it stuck, or something along those lines.

He is a big fan of Jason McCartney.
Speaking of McCartney, he was at the game vs freo up on level 3 with his recruiting staff jotting down notes. Though he definitely still has some love for us because he got out of his seat fist pumping the air every time we scored.

I remember everyone used to call him Narni as a kid when he played for the Longford Tigers and Athletics at Longford.

Ben Warren (Milky) - obvious, his white hair is milk coloured.

Scott Thompson (Hunter) - not too sure, maybe after the Barry Hall incident, as he hunted him down?

Matt Campbell (Flash) - quick as a 'flash'.

Ayden Kennedy (AK36) - AK47 is a type of gun. AK is his initials, 36 is his number.

Hunter S Thompson was an author.

Hunter S Thompson was an author.
Calling Hunter S Thompson an author is like calling Wayne Carey a footy player. Hunter S Thompson was an inspiration, brilliantly gifted and with his own demons, one of the giants of the US literature and discourse and he lived harder just about anyone on the planet.
