"It was pretty easy to get a kick at Port Adelaide with great players like Josh Francou feeding it out."

nick stevens - afl.com.au

the games up. nick is a sh*t footballer! - a soft receiver - a maggot dining - but, finally he has the balls to tell it as it is.

he's going to be hurting after this weekend.

FULL STORY

remind me again why you wanted Alan Didak and pick 17 for such a useless footballer?

Stevens is just explaining why a softc**k like Schoefield is still with Port, because he gets on the end of some hard work from the Power scrubbers.

The funny thing is, instead of being spoonfed by Francou (how many possessions did Francou get in 2003 by the way????), Stevens now reaps the benefit of Heath Scotland's ball getting abilities!!!!

Ebert, get over it you ****stick.

if i choose to tell the bigfooty world that i think nick stevens is an over-rated, over inflated hack, then i will.

dont get upset with me just because collingwood bungled the chance to get their hands on him & port told you lazy pr*cks where to go.

although, he would have worked beautifully with that sea gull buckley - could have learned a lot from the master receiver.

News alert. Nick Stevens is a receiver.

Its not a dirty word, some blokes get the ball and some blokes carry it. Try again, Captain trollbert.

It wasnt such a good thing to not trade Stevens for Didak and our first pick. Whod u end up getting for him?

News alert number 2.

Pagan has a low possession game plan that works
Williams has a high possession gameplan that has failed in the past three finals series

Stevens is more effective at Carlton than he ever was at Port despite fewer kicks and handballs.

nobody said that. although he's been better for the last two seasons.

How long will this BS about Scotland last?

I agree mate

average player that has little influence on games.

any collingwood supporter that can look beyond their pride and hatred for port would realise that both port and collingwood lost out in the stevens deal.

Even though we got nothing for him we did sent out a strong message - don't **** with us. port has managed to cope without stevens (aka judas). thank god cassisi has stepped up - we are 10-4 exactly the same as last year.

collingwood has needed him. they have lost too many close games and in the end it's most likely gonna result in no finals appearance.

round 6 v Port - Lost by 17
round 7 v Carlton - Lost by 9
round 12 v Melbourne - Lost by 9
round 13 v Sydney - Lost by 6

I'm not saying these games would all have been wins if the pies had stevens, but having a talented midfielder of that calibre would have definitely helped

I can't wait for sunday, stevens is gonna be at AAMI stadium, the crowd will be able to pay their respects to him.

Reminded of that story about the monk carrying the woman across a stream.
But on a different note: If Josh Carr was to declare that he wanted to go back to Perth and Port decided to make it tough ,

does last years standoff make Port more likely or less likely to fold.

I think North korea's president applies similar strategy, in that if you act like a crazy (no regard for personal well being) you can in fact bluff your way to better deals..

I'm not sure how Nick Stevens could be labelled Judas.

Port Adelaide and Nick Stevens new halfway through last season that they would be parting ways.

Dont blame Nick for getting out without Port getting anything in return. Even he is on record as saying he wished Port got some benefit from it.

It was Port's fault they didnt get anything for him, nobody elses.

But I guess everyone needs a scapegoat.

Port will want Judd, Cousins, Gardner and the Eagles first round pick for the next 3 years.
If they don't get it they will throw Carr into the draft and then tell the Eagles what d1ckheads they were and how Port are so strong and will never give in to blackmail.

Still ya gotta laugh at em they are still new to the big league.

Tarrant Buckley Burns Fraser Prestigaicomo and Holland would have been handy too. So would Scotland and even Betheras. Water under the bridge.

Only people who reckon stevens is a first grade judas are some port fans and one or two saints fans just trying on a save face job for what hamill did.

Ebert jeez it's not like we went all wobbly at the knees after troy bond left carlton (not that WAS a disrespectful departure from an ungrateful player). Next time we played adelaide it was troy who? Players move home, it's the risk you take when you draft kids from interstate. Just be grateful he didn't go to the crows purely for more dosh, then you'd really have something to see red over. I agree with the others you need to get over it.
