I'm all for a competitive league, but reducing points means you also run the risk of top end talent going to other leagues who have the room to fit them in.


I think Deer Park was an exception due to the $ rumours flying around, plus were the other WRFL clubs in a spot to compete financially at the time? If DP were in the EFL, EDFL, NFNL during that period (was it 7 flags?), would the same outcome have occurred?


This year seeing Shepherd/Zaharakis/Lloyd line up against Gilmore/Smith/Sier or Jong/Honeychurch/Buxton was fantastic. Tom Bell running around controlling games at times. Backlines scrambling to keep Saad locked down, when he wasn't injured. Those type of top end match ups or players are also what makes the NFNL exciting.
