Melbourne Airport Runway Overruns

I am hearing rumours of a couple of runway overruns at Melbourne Airport in the past couple of weeks due to shortened available runway for use. There are works currently in progress.

They don’t seem to have made it to mainstream media.

Does anyone have any info on this?
