IncorrectCarlton will take what they can get, if the best offer is pick 45 for example then that's what they'll take. A west coast future third could be pick 40, so not the worst offer.

Kennedy will find a home. Parfitt won't.
Well he's contracted so no. More like shopping him around for the right price.Carlton will take what they can get, if the best offer is pick 45 for example then that's what they'll take. A west coast future third could be pick 40, so not the worst offer.
Can't imagine Saints being keen after getting Macrae's signature today. The age is reporting the saints, cats and pies are all into him.
Houston remains on Victorian radars; Owies waits on Blues
Back-to-back All-Australian defender Dan Houston remains a live trade target for Victorian clubs as Carlton forward Matt Owies prepares for an extended wait to discover his fate.www.theage.com.au
Might be able to package it up with 31 to get to a pick in the 20sNorth melbourne pick #40 should come in by 5-6 spots might be a good range
but i doubt Carlton would accept that as the pick will get consumed with the father sons
In what way?Incorrect
Your pushing him out the door, you've lost all leverage. "Shopping him around for the right price"?, that's not a very good look for the club. "Oh we'll trade you so you can get more opportunities" and then squash the idea once you realise he has next to no real value.Well he's contracted so no. More like shopping him around for the right price.
Where has anyone reported we want him gone? The report was he sees himself as a mid and we see him as a half forward, so for his sake we're open to letting him explore the market if he can find somewhere who will promise him mid minutes.Your pushing him out the door, you've lost all leverage. Kennedy was upset with being subbed and asked to be traded to a team that plays him as a midfielder
and carlton said well if you can find a club that will satisfy our demands then we will consider the trade and if it suits all sides we can get it done if not no trade and you can wait untiil next year when you are a free agent that attracts a band 2
this is the best player we've traded out since gibbs, lets just see how we go.I would brace for disappointment.
Gibbs aside, at no point in our recent history have we dug in.
Yep. Once you suggest to a player to look around and find a home, the leverage disappears. He will nominate the team he wants to play for and a deal will need to get done. There is a reason why the Blues have asked him to find other options. History suggests he won't be back at the club. Blues need some points don't they for FS?Your pushing him out the door, you've lost all leverage. "Shopping him around for the right price"?, that's not a very good look for the club. Why band 2? He wouldn't be on much and will be 29 as a free agent. It's a little different to 2023 as the contracts offered were very high taking into consideration the new salary cap, while being assessed against the much lower 2023 salary cap.Or maybe it went something like this

Feels like he's a victim of how the game has changed. 10 years ago he would've been a very handy 3rd or 4th midfielder. But it's hard to carry many players like him now.
I hope Geelong passes on him. If we're getting Smith he'll be down the pecking order for mids and he doesn't fit us as a forward.
And unfortunately for Kennedy we have 1Hes still a good player you just need 3 or 4 speed players around him which we have.
Who is the 1?And unfortunately for Kennedy we have 1
