MASON Wood's future at North Melbourne is uncertain with clubs believing the goalkicker could be put on the market at season's end.
Wood is contracted for next season with North Melbourne and has played 17 games this season, but has been surprisingly dropped for this week's clash with Port Adelaide.
AFL.com.au understands the 25-year-old has been raised in trade discussions with rivals as North looks at its options for this year's NAB AFL Trade Period.

Pies in need of a KPF but not sure we'd look at him considering his injury history.

Last night's win over Port cooked Mason's goose at North.

Pick around 25-30 imo. Could go a bit higher if we attached one of our own picks.

Not worth it too injuries prone. In Rehab more than playing. Bad luck players.

Yeah, historically. Had a good run this yeah.

Could still be a 35-40 goal a year forward at the right club.

No doubting his talent.

Harsh. Wood could've easily kicked 5 last night if he was playing against such an insipid mob of pretenders too.

Wood has promise but he might be something north need to release to open up the forward line.

IMO

Wood to Sydney for Zac Jones?

Wood to port for a pick 20-30?

Mason Woods in same position as Grundy for Collingwood. Both free agents next year with current club not showing real interest in coming to party with strong offer to re sign & secure now.

Goldstein may well go to Saints on 3 yr deal.

Roos should open there war chest to see what’s actually in their & offer Grundy a longer term deal from 2020 onwards.

Collingwood then woo Mason Wood over on deal. He’s a great fit for Collingwood... although Collingwood will then need to find a ruckman 12 months earlier than they otherwise would have too!

By the way Shaw spoke in his presser, it sounded like Wood wasn’t in the plans for 2020 and beyond. I think he will be used with a 2nd round pick and future 2nd round pick to the swans for Papley and a 3rd round pick.

Pies wont give up Grundy, rucks like that done come along too often.

Freo wants him. I haven't watched him closely so idk if it's a good idea or not. Is it right to say that the Dockers would need to retain their picks around what he's worth in order to match a bid for Liam Henry?

God I hope not.

Injury riddled player who can't get a start for his side? Freo will likely offer their 1st rounderfor him!

So Hogan, Taberner, Lobb, McCarthy, Cox, Wood? really?

Interesting player (when fit). It’ll be worth watching to see what he fetches if he is traded, I suspect there will be large variations in what clubs would give up for him.

Mid to late second or a pick upgrade is fine by most north people.

Despite what his injury affected stats suggest, he played very good footy this year and would be a valuable player at most clubs.
