Hey guys i think i am screwed but just checking anyway.. pre season i had $10 each on goodes and black each way for the brownlow at $41-1... lovely bets but now they could haunt me i can not find the tickets anywhere i swear they were with my other tickets but not to be... there's no way for the outlet where i put the bet on to track the bet down is there?? because i made other bets that day that i still have the tickets for...

im gunna be spewing if one of em wins.. will be angry if they place but not as angry as if they win lol.... ill search the house top to bottom again but it's not looking good:(
 
If one of them wins put in a Tab claim form within 14 days of event. You will need details such as date you made bet, amount, time, outlet where you put on etc etc but if you have other tickets from same time you should know this info.

if someone has them and presents before you're lost claim though, they'd have no way of getting the money back and you'd lose your money.
 
oh ok guys thanks for the help! yer i have two tickets dated thursday march 26 2009... can they look up bets made at that exact time or something... like coulnd't they think i could just be making up the bet of trying to get 2 copies of the ticket because it was good odds etc...

or is the only way i could get my money if the bet wins is if someone who has my actual ticket tries to claim it??

please let me know and ill head down to the outlet i placed the bet on a bit later.. thanx guys

by the way yeh i am pretty sure the tickets were stolen as i have never lost any before and keep them safe.. but its just weird the two with the biggest return were taken and i did have some pretty dodgy housemates living with me recently who could have easily gone through my stuff... id rather no one gets any money than they bloody get money from stuff that clearly isnt theirs...
 
mate that's shit. Nothing worse when something like that happens and the thing wins. I'd much much rather lose a bet legitimately. No prizes for that other than patting yourself on the back for making the right choice.

anyway tbh it's a bit strange that your ex-housemates would steal just those tickets, and not the whole lot. Maybe you binned it accidentally? I did that with my Big6 the other week but the supp. dividend only paid $33 and i had 10% so i didnt bother lol.
 
oh its just i caught out one of the guys before i left a ticket on the bench for like 5 mins and he apparantly accidently chucked it out but he had put it not in the min but somewhere else dodgy as if he was hiding it ready to claim it and hope i'd thought id just lost it.. i wouldnt of accidently just binned 3 legitimate tickets in the black and gooded bet and also a broncos/cats double.. both returns amounted to over 400 bux and those are the 3 that have gone missing... definately suss its irking me though i really hope black and goodes dont come through if there's no way of getting the ticket back:(... but yer id still rather put in a lost claim seeing i have exact dates/times of the other bets... to stop anyone claiming money that's not theirs...

so can the tab outlet actually look at bets from march at that exact time and see that i did actually put the goodes/black bet down and i am not bullshiting?
 
Unless you go to the outlet on the same day, they can't see your bet on their screens anymore.

You can put in a Lost Ticket Claim (costs $11) and if TAB Claims office can locate your ticket they MAY be able to block it.

If your good mates with the TAB operator at the local there is a chance you can get them to request a transaction dump from that date/time and get the serial number and then request a block..chances are slim to none though as they have to call head office and it'll make em a bit suss. as paying out a ticket using the serial number and not having the ticket is a against the rules.
 
don't understand why anyone would use the scab for...thats why online accounts are better, you can never lose the ticket always have a copy of transactions
 
Sigh think I need to apply for an online account now too.

Today I made a bet and got a voucher from the EBT machine. And for some reason I re-scanned my voucher 30 seconds later and just left. Lucky the amount was only $28, would be spewing if it was more.

The lady there looked on the screens and saw that it got cashed out an hour later (surprised it took that long). She called people but since it wasn't a technical error there was nothing she could do. Oh well!

yeah tickets are quiet annoying, if you have 50 in there back a horse for 20 you get the horse ticket + a voucher then if you wanna get on the next race you get another god dam ticket, 30 minutes in the tab and you can have 20-30 tickets in your pocket.:thumbsd:

Funny story I just went back to the TAB and the lady said she found out who stole my money but he could only give $20 back. You beauty! Better than nothing. :D

Lmfaooo what tab was this.... the bloke that went to the screen next would have thought it was his lucky day to come back the next day and get questioned haha.

If the guy found an abandoned ticket, he did nothing wrong.
 
They looked at the video footage around the time my voucher was used and since he was a regular it was pretty easy for them to ask him the next time he came in. The whole thing happened in the space of a few hours. :)
