which grand finals do you reakon had the longest odds for a team to win?

im guessing carlton in 99 would have been $3+ same with melbourne in 2000

also when do you think was the last time an underdog won, my guess would be brisbane in 2001 although port might have been too in 2004 but im asking more pre 2000

Kangaroos were red hot favourites in 1998. They got overrun by the Crows in the last half of that GF.

Easily the Crows for the eventual winning side.... Well speculatative but it seems it considering they werent really rated in the season and their half time odds woulda been huge in the Kangas game

Geelong in 1995 i remember on Sportsbook, which was the tab back then was 26/5 meaning every 5 bucks u put on u would get 26 bucks back, thats equivlant to about $5.20. Also Melbourne where at $4.00 to beat Essendon in 2000. Adelaide in 1998 was at $3.00 on the Sunday after the PF against the bulldogs but firmed into $2.75

26/5 is equivalent to $6.20, it means you win $26 for every $5 you put on. It would be nearly impossible to beat that as the longest price for a grand final i would have thought.

I backed Hawthorn in 1988 to beat Melbourne by 73 pts and above, had twenty dollars on it and at the end of the game i collected 52 dollars, dunno what the head to head dividend was but 2 60 for a flogging like that in a GF seemed a little tight to me, musta been one of the most one sided betting contests ever as well as on the scoreboard.
