1st Game of the year, thought he put in a good one.

2.3 could of had 3 goals if not for an unselfish display over the top. Marking well.

Got back to help out in the last few seconds linking up with Chappy. Showed passion and in act of generosity i saw him pick up the empty Gatorade bottles off the ground while others walked away.

Good Start.

6 marks inside 50 (Hawkins had the most of the round with 7). 2 goal assists. 2 goals. 9 score involvements (equal 1st with Brayshaw). A couple of intercepts. Even a tackle inside 50!

Should have kicked another goal or two from his chances but those are still some great stats for a key forward.

Hope he can back it up next week.

Thought he played ok.

He is absolutely one of the players that could have helped us finish the game before halftime - and didn't. His ruck work was also lamentable and he didn't follow his opponent O'Brien into the defensive 50 on one occasion which nearly cost a goal.

He's got to go back further with those set shots. No idea why he goes with such a small run-up. He can kick a mile, but it must be a mental thing.
Graham and the Frenchman should be able to sort this.

You are being harsh. He was playing a lone hand up forward. Treacy did close to nothing and the only time he did when he marked i50, guess who cleared the path for him to lead into? If you are criticising Lobb based on yesterday then your analysis is probably being influenced by past performance.

Probably something that came about when he was trying to fix the stutter step

I am one of his biggest critics but I actually thought he had a pretty solid game. 6 marks i50 for 2.3 (and the the handoff ga to schultz), again should've had at least 3 goals himself. Liked him dropping back in the last play to create an out number that allowed us to clear the ball cleanly.

I'd say it was a very good game by Lobb, asterisked by the fact he played against one of the worst defences in the league. He should of played well and he did. Needs to back it up this week.

I will add that it feels like he generally steps up when Tabs is out, which is great

Lobb looked great when we have midfield dominance, the forward line moved well, he marked well. If we get six shots at goal out of him a game and he gets four of them we'd be very happy.

Even if he decides he wants to move away. 80 goals and a Coleman Medal, under contract will be highly valuable.

Im convinced he’s gone end of year but if he can stay with the team mentally and compete hard for us like he did yesterday for the rest of the season then there’ll be no hard feelings.
If he finally decides to start playing well just so that he can leave the club I will definitely have hard feelings (unless he can manufacture a jackson trade). Would rather lose a poor player over a good player.

I think he’s staying, and we want him to stay. He’s contracted beyond this season. If he leaves it’s only because we secured a younger option.

Based on insta, Gfs moved to Melbourne and (I think?) they are building a house together. No chance he stays really

Did his job. Absolute liability for set shots though. He looks like he has already missed it before kicking it.

Does look fit as but. Maybe the haircut (thanks Gerard)

The three set shots he missed were from the edge of the fifty on an angle. You’d expect him to nail maybe one of them - any more and it’s a bonus.

Pretty much had three goals (that handball to Schultz). Had a good game.

Llordo didn’t fancy this effort.
Jordan Dawson was lucky it was lobb in that play and not Treacy.
He’d probably have needed a new kidney in Adelaide hospital if Treacy got a chance to nail someone like that

Lobb was decent
Seems to play better without Taberner , they tend to contest the same ball
However I put that down to lack of footy smarts and poor forward line coaching.
I hope they can work it out
