average Collingwood hater Pendles is easily still a top 50 mid on leadership alone and did you even see that crows game mate? two goals and 30 disposals at 36 years old is taking the piss shockingly bad take.
How many of these would you have an issue with being ranked ahead of 2024/2025 Pendles out of curiosity? I'll admit some would be 50/50 calls imo.

A lot of question marks over a lot of those players.

How many would be rated ahead of Pendlebury across their 2023/24 seasons, on what the respective players actually delivered?

I count no more than 20.

I'd vehemently disagree with the 20 number... But lets just say there's 20 midfielders better than Pendlebury on that list for the sake of the argument.

If Pendles was the 21st best midfielder in 2023/2024 then how could anyone possibly make the argument that Pendles is still an A grader?

21st best in your position wouldn't be near 'A grade' imo. Top 5-10 would be my range for an A grader.

The best players in the comp are midfielders.

Nonetheless, I'm simply reporting what Sammy has said.

Not all of them are.

I maintain my belief that McClure is the dumbest campaigner in footy. Pendles over Taylor is either fantastic clickbait work or just utter stupidity. And that's more to do with Taylor being an absolute gun than any hatred of Collingwood or Pendles I may have.

It's not Pendles over Taylor.

It's Pendles being durable and consistent enough to continually deliver A Grade seasons, whereas Taylor isn't. In McClure's opinion.

Pendles hasn't produced an A grade season in a long time. Taylor was AA in 2022 and clearly one of the best full backs in the comp.

McClure just fishing for clickbait again.

Hmmmm.

Following on from a discussion that was had earlier in the week, Shai Bolton not rated in the top 50 players in the competition in a consensus vote of 6 of SEN's best.....

Great in 2022 and good in 2023. It seems that they have unfairly used 2024 as the most relevant data point to discriminate against Bolton.

Noidy and MR will be in to make a dramatic ramble for his case yet again. If he does revert to elite status in 2025, they will of course pretend this made him elite at the end of 2024.
