Of course it is. Do you think this was the one and only time anyone has ever taken a gun to the football? Or knife or brass knuckles or .... ?

In 2 weeks the heavy-handed security will tone down again. So why even bother for 2 weeks other than appearing to be doing something?

Because they have to. It is a serious security breach.

What else can they do? Say yeah our security is a bit lax, these things happen, did you know people might bring knuckle dusters in?

If an airline has a near miss crash they don’t respond with “well Malaysia lost 2 planes back to back, she’ll be right”
