how many do you have? and most importantly, is it any good?

there is one about a 10min walk from my house or 2-3mins in the car. however, it is very poor service there, and they almost always stuff up any order given ... I was once given some poor bastards mega family order thing instead of my simple 3-piece feed.

naturally, I kept it. :thumbsu:

I've got one a 5 min drive from home, the other a 100m walk from work.

However i rarely frequent the place with the silly prices, the filthy floors and the dirt feeling knowing that this is the kind of food you wouldnt mind having when youve just woken up from a big night out but your eating it completely sober.

I haven't had it in about a year either. :p

follow the City/Country thread and then come back teatz. ;)

I eat way too much KFC... Always regret it 10 mins after when I feel like total shit.... Lo e their rolls when they are fresh and soft

Closest one is High St. Kew. Right next to Dan Murphy's. Prefer Red Rooster chips though.

I would consider myself a master KFC connoisseur.

I have 2 KFCs located within 8 minutes drive. Both have good product. Orders are rarely stuffed up and service is efficient. However I have had trouble with a manager at one of the KFC's who lost his block because I said "no wings" in my 2 piece feed. I reported him to head office.

My order of choice: Ultimate Burger Meal with a Bacon and Cheese Zinger Burger (Super Charged Sauce) with the Wicked Wings.

1980s Kentucky Fried Chicken > Today's "KFC"

Back then, Kentucky Fried Chicken was a fine meal... chicken was cooked throughly, skin actually stuck, not too greasy...you could smell it from two streets away, loved the old school restaurants they had with the wooden look... it was fast food with a touch of class that set itself apart from its rivals like McDonald's.

Now its whored itself out to the 3am drunk kebab crowd, (think Flinders St. location) serving consumers greasy, partially cooked slop and relying on history and reputation to keep the crowds coming. It's a shadow of its former self.

Glad to say I have yet to have it since I've been in America, 10 months now.

Those of you who have lived in London would be familiar with the dirty chicken shops found on any major street throughout the city. Loved those shops and much preferred them over KFC and meals were reasonably cheap for 3 or 4 quid.

Got one just down the road bout 5 min drive, the only thing i order is a ten piece wicked wing pack and if they aint fresh il take them back..

KFC is the worst takeaway option available. Dirty, greasy and tastes horrible. Would rather munch on Gillard's minge than eat this crap.

Red Rooster is great on the other hand. Flayva combo is the only meal you should order from there.

Now this isnt meant to be a racist comment but has KFC adopted a non-white policy? Every KFC i've been to in the last couple of years only has asians(all types) or africans working there. Just wondering if it got taken over by some other company?

Red Rooster is much more greasy than everything else. Only time I actually have to use the serviette is after Red Rooster.

The country doesnt follow such a policy.
in fact it's probably reverse.

KFC in Kensington (over the road from the Irish Quiet Man) doesn't serve bacon b/c of the muslim contigent there. Sometimes cut through Racecourse Rd after work, it's like little Nigeria there.

my closest is 40km away :(

however i have 4 within a 5 min drive of my workplace (and an oporto, which is so much better)

Prefer Red Rooster too, their chicken and avocado baguettes are pretty good and reasonably healthy as far as fast food goes.

The service at my local Red Rooster is shithouse though. Last time I went through the drive thru they told me to wait in one of their waiting bays and then forgot about my order. After about 10-15 minutes of waiting I had to go into the store and find out what the hell was going on, "oh sorry we forgot you were there, what was your order again?"
