Traded Jamarra Ugle-Hagan [Traded to Gold Coast for Pick #74]

No Vic clubs want him.
my current mail is that he won't leave Victoria and his made that clear with his management.

Make of that situation what you will.

Very similar to Nick Hind and who he was associating with, and reckon it will play out the same way too. Difference being, Jamarra has more talent in his pinky toe than Hind, is a former Pick 1, and would command one of the biggest salaries in the league - if he cared enough.

Clubs won't touch players that don't care, and also have links to questionable people. They'll part ways, and I reckon he gets lost to footy for now. Might make a comeback in the future if things change, but otherwise, an absolute waste of talent.

He will get at least a one year contract with some club in future. If the one year is smooth, he could earn some good money again on shortened contracts. No club will be offering him a 7 year deal
His life at the dogs is finished , its how 2026 is managed.
Sydney might take him for 2026 but with the Dogs paying half his salary or its possible he sits out 2026 and the AFL gives the dogs salary cap relief

These blokes are being fed bad advice and then when the career stalls or stuffs up, they sue every man and his dog.
This bloke football wise is an out and out gun, we need him to be playing football.

Is he that stupid or far gone that he thinks he can dictate where he goes and get much more than league minimum base plus match payments?

I don't understand this. Why don't the Dogs just terminate his contract? He is not fulfilling its terms and is bringing the game into disrepute. Cut off his money and let him see how that goes.

To get him playing again with anyone, the AFL would have to have a process whereby he serves a penance and then needs to confirm behaviour and attitude changes before being allowed in. Of course, the Dogs should receive some sort of compensation since they've had to put up with his rubbish.

We literally cannot terminate. AFL holds all the power when it comes to player contracts, only they can terminate, AFL PA also standing in the way of us reducing payments to him.

Like Dunkley before you, we will save you from the Dogs, JUH.
Won't leave Victoria, friends and family.

Apparently his friends are the issue...

If he won't leave Vic, I'm not sure he'll have a footy career if it keeps heading this way.

Best case scenario would be 3 way trade:

JUH to Swans
Warner to WC
WC send Hawks 1st to WB
Maybe a few pick swaps or futures included

Why would Sydney effectively trade Chad Warner for a bloke who they could probably get for next to nothing picks wise and is no guarantee of even taking the field..?

No one is trading anything of note for JUH.

In all seriousness, Dogs would likely need to pay a portion of his contract to get him off the books.

Well I'd assume if he's being traded then it would be off the back of showing something positive from here on in.

If he's done and dusted and is a no show for the rest of the season then he should be sacked and he can go through the draft process again.

The AFL surely won't make the dogs pay some of his salary when he's effectively abandoned his job for a whole year.

We tried to terminate Stengle’s contract and weren’t able to. Remember how long that went on for and the end result was an internal season suspension. JUH is being a petulant shit, but not sure how he’d meet any threshold for bringing the game into disrepute.

Nope. we are working with the AFL to essentially make his contract null and void the way he’s going. As reported, one last meeting as his last chance.

There are Tom Stewarts and Tim Kellys and Riley Bices out there who didn't get a shot at AFL footy until they were 23/24.

AFAIC JUH should be released from his contract and if he wants to play footy again in future he can go back into the draft on a mandated 2/3 year deal.
