Programs such as AFL KICKSTART and the Clontarf Football Academy in Perth seem to be working with a record number of indigenous players set to be taken in the national and rookie drafts later this year.
Draft Camp and State screening attendees:
WA
Claremont: Clinton Benjamin, Nathan Krakouer, Liam Bedford, Josh Hill.
Perth: Brennan Stack, Dean D1ck.
East Freo: Brad D1ck
Sth Freo: Leroy Jetta, Clayton Collard
East Perth: Shawn Colbung
Peel: Dane Ugle
Subiaco: Trent Dennis-Lane
NT: Joe Anderson, Jethro Calma-Holt, Nathan Djekurra, Austin Woenemirri, Trevor Oliver
QLD: Albert Proud
NSW:Malcolm Lynch
SA: Zac Millar, Lindsay Thomas
VIC: Daniel Hayes, Jarryd Harbrow
Have also heard that Sydney have interest in Claremont's Carl Peterson and players such as Caleb Mourish, Josh Cubillo, Matt Campbell and Alwyn Davey have been talked about on this forum.

They are both very talented and have some similar strengths and weaknesses. Brad would have to be a better chance at this stage but Dean could well surprise and ultimately turn out the better prospect.

Sam Sheldon identifies as indigenous and is attending the state screening session in Melb. Played in Victorian Aboriginal Football Carnival last year for Echuca.

What would be the draft order of the four most highly rated indiginous talents in Proud, Jetta, Collard and benjamin and is there a possibility of one of them slipping down to essendons pp

Theres a slim possibility that one of Jetta, Proud, Collard will slip through ... but even if that was the case, we'd snap them up with #17.

I get the feeling Benjamin would definatley be there.
