My friend and I have a little competition going on.

He has genuine nous about horse betting because he follows it.

I, on the other hand, have to beat him with a system. Mine are not working though (my fault entirely :)).

I am wondering if anyone has come across any good betting systems in book form.

I stumbled across this on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Prime-Factor-horse-racing-punting-system-33-23-POT_W0QQitemZ220159976904QQihZ012QQcategoryZ39832QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Any other systems you guys know of?

I'm currently using the "Stick With Your Favourite Horses Even When They Are No Realistic Chance" System.

Lucky for you, it is out of print.

Did it not trial too well for you? :):thumbsu:

So there is absolutely nothing out there? Surely there is. Grab the form and use a system. Something like that.

You can come up with all the **** and bull systems in the world but it wont make the horse run any faster...

If you don't know what you're doing, prolly not a good idea to get in tipping competitions...

Isn't that a prick when you put your bets on and you overlook something you like or used to follow, but on recent form and odds you leave it out, and then it gets up and pays $30-$40 dividend. Its a killer.

I have my own system, fluke it.

Yesterday I won $864 on a boxed trifecta at Seymour. Just a minimum $3 bet, 50% return, included one darky - Daneheart - and it won. I was laughing.

I usually back Miss Fantabulous and nearly spewed when she got up Saturday. Thought Vormista was a good thing so MF went around without me. Also I usually back the Perrin owned horses and of course didnt back their winner either. 1 paid 18 and the other paid 20 something. My advice is pick a trainer or jockey or owner and follow them religiously. I read somewhere that if you had a $50 each way bet in every Australian group 1 race that Shane Dye has ridden in you'd be well in front.

If this is actually a serious question just go down to the newsagent and pick up a copy of Practical Punting Monthly. Each edition is normally jam packed with systems if that's your thing.

They are currently spruiking their latest system "The Golden Key" which if you believe all the hype will practically solve world hunger.

Otherwise you could simply follow their 'horses to follow'. They have supposedly been tracking their results for 11 years and only one year have failed to return a profit. Last year's result was around 10% profit on turnover which apparently is comparable to anything most pros can regularly produce.
